Same way I spend every day...

Try to take over the world.

Are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Michael

Yes, but burlap chaffs me so.

Well, as I knew everywhere was going to be packed today with couples doing the whole smooch thing I did my thing yesterday instead. Friday 13th, much more fitting lol

absolutely single with no man at all to make me feel like I'm not worth the effort, so I am my own Valentine, because I am worth the fucking effort despite what they have thought [:)] I took myself out for a meal. nowhere major special, but it was close to the cinema, and then I went to see the film Kingsmen. That was a really good film, and I enjoyed it a lot. Back home for dessert, and coffee.

today I'm lounging around until I have to go and pick something up. while I'm out I may treat myself to some flowers. later I shall myself something rather nice.

needles

I'm starting my day wrangling with my gawddamn hosting company (for hopefully one of the last times, since I have a new server I'm setting up). I'll make breakfast in a bit, and maybe do a bit of shopping and work.

Casablanca with Mike, and then, after... not sure. Maybe more work, or dinner with a few friends.

Frankly, my every day these days is better than Valentine's ever was...

Valentine's Day is just another day on the calendar for me. Doing the usual Saturday things coffee time, hitting the gym, and getting lost in a spreadsheet for a few hours. Might work on the frame for a rat rod wagon building for a charity event later this evening or maybe go play some Texas Holdem with girlfriends. Laughing with good friends til my face hurts is never a bad thing.

getting my hair done and feeling depressed yet another year has passed and im still single. maybe i will rehash all my fond memories of all the first dates i've had in the last 4 years, that would be fun! pfft.

Getting up in a few and going to the gym, spend a little bit of time with a few friends and think I'm going to take needles advice and do/buy something for myself. [:)]

What are your V Day plans for tomorrow?

Well, it's a special day -- we got "serious" in the spring (actually knew her for years), she was collared in the fall, and a few weeks ago, she got an engagement ring. This will be our first Valentine's Day as a couple.

Dinner at an excellent Indian restaurant. Big bouquet from my favorite florist contact with an array of colorful flowers. Six framed poems, her favorites from a Taoist couple's book we read from regularly. She got tickets to my favorite band (talented musician friends). And whatever else she has stored away for a surprise.

And a lot of quality weekend intimacy.

Right now I'm doing laundry and cleaning the house.
Later I'll be giving him a nice blow job after he gets off of work.
Then we'll probably bar hop for a bit.
Tomorrow, on the other hand will be filled with an oyster roast and Bloody Mary competition at the beach.

I was gonna meet a friend for lunch but begged off due to fatigue.

May take another crack at activating the heart monitor I should have worn for weeks now.

I'm solo this year.....but even when I wasn't.....

My sister's wedding anniversary is Feb 14th so every year on the Saturday closest to Valentine's Day, she and her husband host a dinner party where they serve FONDUE. She has 5 or 6 fondue pots and then borrows a couple from friends and then does everything from a few cheese fondues, oil, different broths, and then she has a chocolate fountain to use with fruit and pound cake for dessert.

Oh, that sounds like fun! I'm envious. I have no traditions of my own like that.

FR

For a holiday I don't much like, Valentine's Day has been pretty decent to me this year.

An old friend called and essentially ordered me to get dressed and meet him for coffee--a huge step for one prone to moping alone in PJs all weekend. It was great to see him after way too long, and he totally surprised me with a bunch of red tulips--a favorite flower. They now stand atop the dining room table, also bedecked with a new cloth. It may be snowing outside, but dammit, we're having spring in my apartment!

No. There was a female assistant at the counter and I was too embarrassed to ask. :-(
