Greta75 -> Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 2:42:42 AM)

Wow, sometimes, certain places in the US are still practicing crazy extremism!! And probably the most perverted minds. I love yoga pants! I wear it for all my work outs! They are so comfy!

I like wearing everything without bra. I guess that is gonna be illegal too, since appearances of nipples will be seen.

I did meet a conservative American dude here before who told me to put on a damn bra. It was our first date and he was not happy I didn't wear bra.

Members of the House Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to table House Bill 365, which Rep. David Moore introduced Tuesday.

The proposal would have expanded the definition of indecent exposure to include garments that give the appearance of a person's buttocks, genitals, pelvis or female nipple.

The Republican from Missoula said he wouldn't have a problem with people being arrested for wearing such provocative clothing such as tight-fitting beige garments. Moore also said yoga pants should be illegal.

Although members of the committee giggled about the bill, no discussion was allowed before a voice vote to table it.

Moore and retired professor Walt Hill drafted HB 365 after last year's Bare as you Dare bicycle event outraged some residents last summer. Fearing that denying organizers an event permit would breach free speech, city officials allowed participants, many of them completely nude, to ride through downtown Missoula on Aug. 17.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1991 that state prohibitions on public nudity are constitutional given that nudity itself is not an expression. Bare as you Dare organizers call the event a celebration of body image and bicyclists' right to use public roads.

Currently, a person convicted of indecent exposure three times in Montana can be sentenced to life in jail and up to $10,000.

I think it would be super funny of Kenya West new fashion, goes on a street catwalk with 20 models in Montana. This below is one of his designs.

the question at the heart of this is, do lawmakers have a responsibility to create laws concerning personal behavior when they believe that behavior gets in the way of public order? or do they not?

[Leaving the Gentle Touch Car Wash: Jerry and Kramer driving George's car. Kramer is behind the wheel.]

KRAMER: Well, George has gotta be happy about this.

JERRY (indifferent): Yeah, yeah, yeah...

JERRY: Oh my God, Kramer, is that woman just wearing a bra?

(Sue Ellen is seen walking down the street)

KRAMER: Oh, mama.

JERRY: Kramer!!! (Jerry points to the lamp post they are about to crash into)

(Car crash sound)

[Jerry's Apartment]

ELAINE: My God, are you okay?

KRAMER: Well I got a cut on my head and I banged my shoulder. (He has a large Band-aid on his forehead)

JERRY: I guess I have to bring his car back up to the stadium, if it can make it.

ELAINE: So how did this happen?

JERRY: He was starin' at some woman!

KRAMER: Well I couldn't help it, you saw what she was wearing.

ELAINE: What woman?

JERRY: There was this beautiful woman walking down the street wearing *just* a bra. I can't get that image out of my mind.

ELAINE: Oh...my God.

JERRY: What?

ELAINE: Was it a tall woman, in a black blazer?

JERRY: Yeah!

ELAINE: Ohhh! That's Sue Ellen Mishke!

JERRY: Sue Ellen Mishke?

ELAINE: That's the bra I gave here, she's wearing it as a top! The woman is walking around in broad daylight with nothing but a bra on, she's a menace to society.

[Jackie Chiles' office]

JACKIE: So you're driving in the car, you're with your friend, minding your own business?

KRAMER: Yeah.

JACKIE: Then what happened?

KRAMER: Well then we saw this woman, and she was wearing a bra with no top.

JACKIE: No top? She didn't have a top on?

KRAMER: Yeah. So I got distracted and I crashed the car.

JACKIE: Well how would you describe this woman? Would you say she was an attractive woman?

KRAMER: Oh, yeah.

JACKIE: So we got an attractive woman, wearing a bra, no top, walkin' around in broad daylight. She's flouting society's conventions!

KRAMER: She was flouting.

JACKIE: That's totally inappropriate. It's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!

or asked another way---is there a line? and if so, where is it?

So what about all those skimpy bikini's in Miami and similar places?
[image]http://lovethiscitytv.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/19-3.jpg[/image]

Should they all be banned and we go back to Victorian times.... complete with bathing huts???

the line is in your own mind, and shouldn't be drawn for others to trip over when it comes to what they should be wearing. let's remember that we do not live in Muslim countries just yet where men get to dictate to women still. in some countries women can still walk around with fuck all on

MercTech -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 11:33:46 AM)

It reminds me of when the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed a city ordinance that the holes in crochet bikinis could be no larger than 3/8 inch or be cited for indecent exposure.

And the large number of young 20 something police officers walking around with measuring devices.

bounty44 -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 12:35:59 PM)

"decency" laws exist for a reason...someone says "here is the line" and we wont cross it. as you can see from the post freedomdwarf made, the line changes over time, and it varies from place to place.

so let me be absurd then to make a point. if there is "no line" (since its in my head), then I, or anyone, can do whatever they want whenever they want. if I feel like walking down the street naked, I can and the rest of society has to accommodate my desire to be naked. if I want to have sex with my girlfriend against the lamp post, who is to say I cannot---since afterall, there is no line to cross.

no, we don't live in a muslim country. we don't live in a nudist camp either. those examples represent extremes and we are somewhere in the middle.

so im asking---and if you don't like the word "line" I'll pick something else---where is the middle? how is it determined and who gets to determine it?

merctech---and the job measuring skirt lengths in schools too!

bounty44 -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 12:45:40 PM)

there's this to think of too!

needlesandpins -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 12:50:50 PM)

alright then, i'll be breaking the law all the damn time without even trying. I'm a woman of means. I am blessed with large nipples. even wearing a t-shirt bra, and on a warm day my nipples will still stick out. Just because some stupid man can't control his own eye balls I suddenly have to also dress in loose clothing? I can't wear a shaped top in beige in case I'm seen as naked?

I also happed to have a rather shapely arse that looks great in yoga pants, but I have to be dictated to by someone else as to what I can, or can not wear?

this isn't about being actually naked. this is about people that can't keep their eyes to themselves. I have a pair of skinny jeans that my arse looks just as good in as a pair of yoga pants, and a top that would still show my nipples if they stick out. are my jean to be banned too?

So, just how high do you want your decency line to be for all us women to climb over back in the dark ages?

MercTech -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 1:08:33 PM)

Personally I believe in dressing appropriately for the venue. But some people just don't share my idea of appropriate. And I'm not going to use force to make them as some finagle the politicians to do.

Yoga pants at a business meeting... you didn't want to be taken seriously did you?

Yoga pants in church.... trying to offend the old biddies aren't you?

Yoga pants at the grocery... yep, you will get attention whether you like it or not.

Yoga pants at the gym... no one notices.

KYsissy -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 1:16:56 PM)

All I can say is God bless whoever invented yoga pants.

subinsilicon -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 1:25:59 PM)

I'm with you. The more women show, the better.
Can we make laws mandating the yoga pants?

Quite.

Works both ways too though. No more nicely tailored strides, or jeans for the guys so that us girls can see what you're packing. Just baggy, shapeless trousers from now on. No shirts that show off a six pack, hug those shoulders, or hug those pecks, because what if YOUR NIPPLES stick out? only baggy, shapeless tops for you lot too now.

equality, and all that.

Whippedboy -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 1:49:52 PM)

SOOOO sick of yoga pants. They are the new sweat pants. Zero effort. Zero style. Zero effort. Zero class in my opinion.
My gf wears them and her skinny jeans everywhere!
At first they were awesome because she has an amazing body, but damn. Switch it up some?
Oh, and those shoes? Flats I think they are called? Or "ballet type" shoes. Goddamn. Frumpiest shit I have ever seen.
Anyway, obviously a law is even too stupid to discuss.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Yoga Pants Illegal in Montana? (2/15/2015 1:55:18 PM)

Yoga pants? In Montana? Has anyone ever spent a Winter out there?

That aside; I didn't think anything was illegal in Montana. I thought it was one of the last bastions of our "Wild West Mentality"?
