Here in the UK we have a victorian wood burning stove that throws out so much heat we don't need the central heating on. I always have to sleep with the window open, no matter how cold and so our little dog has his own double quilt and a hot water bottle!

my eldest is living in nottingham right now:) she cant believe the damp cold....she is used to it being -30 here in toronto but its a "dry" cold, it will freeze your bits off, but the damp is what is getting to her. Her first winter in the UK in 26 years:)

Status: offline 		Thanks to the gods Havoc & Chaos, whom are in charge of the local Florida weather, we have gone from below freezing to a nice 74 degrees. It is sunny and warm.

My slave is a geeky little math wizard. Last night we were talking about the weather. I told her that my ex couldn't get the heating system in her house warmer than 55 degrees because it was -47 outside. My slave pointed out that was 77 degrees below freezing.

When I went outside today, the warm air and the sun hit my face and I thought about my ex freezing her butt off up north. I realized there was a 121 degree difference between my weather today and my poor ex up in northwestern Michigan night before last.

The ice age is over me, how about you?

Sarasota/Bradenton had the same forecast, an overnight low of 29 degrees. But it only got down to 38, and daytime temps have rebounded to an acceptable 78. So, much like where you are. All is good.

Status: offline 		Woo Hoo......a heat wave today, it's in the mid 30s! I might make a naked snow angel in the yard just because I can. This heat wave isn't going to last though, tomorrow's high is supposed to be 9 degrees with the low at a minus 4. Oh well, one "warm" day is better than none. It's pathetic when 30something degrees is thought of as a warm day.
