At one point I had over a hundred pairs of shoes but I've downsized. I need decent hiking boots because like shifty, I have shin splints. Mine are from cycling. I've got two pairs of clip in cycling shoes that were made to measure. I can't bring myself to get rid of my faithful old pair even though they are now loose. I love my biker boots even though they are half a size too big so a bit loose and I've got fet boots that are so tight they kill me after a few hours of wear and riding boots that are tight but comfortable Then I've got run of the mill shoes that are snug but comfortable. Oh and I've got climbing shoes that have to be fairly tight.

I just purchased a new pair of biker boots. I want to wear them in before springtime, but because they're not slightly loose I keep delaying. The fit is not tight, just right, but they're so stiff. I hate breaking shoes in.

Probably not too well. Especially if I want to keep my toes. It's a good tip, though. At the rate I'm going, by the time I move past the staring at them lovingly stage, it might just warm up enough outside to try it.
