Lying will get you nowhere... not that anything you have posted thus far has gotten you somewhere.

I searched both pride and proud and returned no less than 300 results each. Unfortunately the search feature only goes back 300 posts.

600 results is far from your claim of zero results.

Yeah, I searched both words on this site and came up with 300 for both pride, 300 for proud also.

Why are you making the assumption there are some very sad people here that aren't proud? IMO, feeling the need to inform a bunch of strangers how proud you are to serve is sad in an insecure way. There are a whole lot of things about me I'm proud of but I see no reason to go bragging on about them to strangers or to anyone.

Or maybe your ability to do a search to get the results sucks eggs? Like a couple other posters here, I also done the same search and came up with the same number of results that Tyrant, InHisHeart and Gauge got.

So this is what I'm taking most issue with in this thread. If my Master thought I put some self-indulgent sense of pride before, you know, pleasing him because it's what he wants and desires, we'd probably have a serious discussion about my motivations. I care more about his pride in me, than making sure everyone knows how proud I am.

I can certainly understand getting frustrated by reading too many complaining posts. However, that takes nothing away from my relationship. If anything, it makes me more grateful that I'm so blissfully happy. I tell the Sadist all the time how humbled and amazed I am that he chose me to be his partner. If I come online and start bragging and telling you guys that I have The Best Relashe Ever and I'm So Awesome and Check Out What I Did For Him, then it will be a) sooooooper obnoxious and ain't no one want to be slavier-than-thou, and b) quick that I will be friendless.

So, I'm proud and humbled and grateful but more than anything, I'm so very happy. I don't need to go around telling all and sundry what I've done and how wonderful we are, because I know it where it matters, between us and the wonderful friends who care if I'm happy or not.

And yeah, I'm confused about how my pride comes into this. I have kids that are fantastic and awesome and I'm proud of THEM, but I'm not proud of my mothering. Not in the sense of "check me out, how badass am I?" I'm mostly just happy. And as caelestis said, there's really no place for patting myself on the back in my relationships. I have healthy relationships where we give and take and the flow is that we all lift each other up and revel in our joy.

Hm.. I don't know, it's kind of nice to see someone taking pride in the service. I agree with those who've said so, and I don't think the OP needs to carry the pain of a mistake forward, if it's been decades since, I suspect that oversight has been forgotten, which is forgiveness in itself.

After wading through six thousand profiles of brats and sams and sugar dollies and "strong independent subs" and watching how folk like to sometimes belittle those who take true joy in service, the OP made me smile. True servitude isn't as common as some would have us believe.

I don't think he was out to get shit on, really.
