I wouldn't necessarily call "rebellious" submissives "fakes". There are plenty of SAMs out there that act the way they do because they like to fight. There are also plenty of dominants out there that enjoy the challenge..being pushed, baited, etc. My only problem with this is when a SAM isn't honest about who they are. They package themselves as a "good girl" but you seem to have to drag the submission from them. I don't have a problem with topping from the bottom as long as all parties are aware and consent to that particular dynamic. Anything else seems to be manipulative.

topcat I agree with you not all do it because they are not submissive, I for one am rebellious as part of my nature to test limits and beleive me I find them with my master, and because I am asking for discipline but don't know how to ask and if I do ask my master ususally ignores it till I am practically begging for it and I do that by giving him a hard time. He did that a while ago and I worked at it all day till he finally sent me to the bedroom and followed me in when I asked about it he just said wondered how far you would go. OH!!!! well I went all the way and I don't think I am a bad slave or sub, in fact told Master that I can be that way before we met for the first time and he perfers it that way keeps him on his toes LOL

I think rebellious subs are the most fun. They take the most work to train...

My Dom considers me a willful submissive comes from being a switch. And his most fun comes when i was a domme to a male then meet up with him. He has the fun of watching me switch roles. Yes he expects me to behave and listen but whats more fun then running after you submissive because she knows your about to hog tie her. Or gives you the freedom to say what you want only to get a clothespin on the tongue. And giggle when he says get undress and it takes you a hour... True True this is not for everyone. HE has a sense of humor and wants to be pushed.I know that when the voice deepends there is no fooling around. Everyone enjoys diffrent things.

I think one possiablity, is that the submissive wants to "test" what his/her limits are and/or how strong the master/mistress will enforce those. To see what is allowed and what isn't and see what they can get away with :)

Another possiablity might be a "cry for help", wanting to feel wanted and cared for, to feel the dominates power. For example, if a master/mistress hasn't be around or neglecting the sub, it might be a way for the sub to receive attention, even if negative.

I usually see it coming from a feeling of insecurity or confusion.

No one "rebels" against something they desire and feel comfortable with.

ShadeDiva -> RE: Rebellious Submissives? (12/30/2004 7:44:22 PM)

Not always.

Sometimes it is just fun to be a brat.

Granted this is a major compatiblity point to consider - I obviously wouldn't get along well in a submissive state with a dominant that deemed that to be a *bad* thing or saw it as being negative or didn;t enjoy having a feisty little spitfire that would as soon as bite them if they got careless, and didn't see it for what it was, just someone having fun and being a spoiled little brat at the same time. If they have the right perspective to handle that scenerio, it can be a hoot for those - but a pain in the ass for those that didn't see that as an scene option.

Resistance play - with the right person, and someone that is INTERESTED in handling that and going there - can be a full on blast. I personally do NOT enjoy resistance play as a dominant, but as a submissive, there are times when it can be a joy to do.

That being said, I have often said that I doubt I'd want a submissive like me, I don't think I'd enjoy dominating a submissive that has my rebellous streak.

Ironic, ain't it?

LOL!

i can't speak for everybody, but i can say this. i have a rebllious streak, and it comes out at different times for different reasons. When i first meet someone it comes from testing how for this guy will let me go, and the need to make sure He is going to be able to control me. Yes, it also comes from being afraid and balking at what might be about to happen. It can also be for pure fun, assuming of course that it's the right time and place and this particular Dom enjoys the chase as much as i do. Hope this sheds a little light for you.
