Kirasen -> Blood draw (3/5/2015 2:15:04 AM)

Hey I need to know what kind of place I can get my blood drawn. The blood isn't for a blood test, nor is it for donations. Any info can help thanx.

MariaB -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 2:39:50 AM)

What is the blood for then?

Kirasen -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 2:45:24 AM)

Its just for private use.

MercTech -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 3:32:21 AM)

Why not do it yourself. You can get phlebotomy supplies off eBay if you are on a budget.

Or, befriend a med tech or phlebotomist or a nurse...

As a veteran of way too many blood draws, I'd strongly advise against attempting it oneself.

Befriending a pro, on the other hand, has possibilities.

I agree with this ^ definitely look for a scene friendly professional who can do this.

When Steve and me got our clear screening back we took a vile of each others blood and drank it with a shot of vodka.

Kirasen -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 4:43:04 PM)

Thank you. I thought that might be my only option, but I wanted to check first. Thanks.

I think you can bleed on most street corners.

Razor blades work.

Kirasen -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 11:07:16 PM)

I have a follow up question. How much blood loss is a fatal amount? I'm trying to avoid dying.

epiphiny43 -> RE: Blood draw (3/5/2015 11:51:27 PM)

To roughly quote Hunter S: Only those who have gone over the line, know precisely where it is. :D
I'm thinking about a quart, from my EMS classes. Assuming hydration and nutrition follow closely. If we don't hear back, my memory sucks?

If you're asking questions like this, I think you might want to take a little time and do a little more research on the matter before soliciting bloodletting on a BDSM forum. Just a thought.

Da Fuq?

How big of a vial of blood do you want drawn?

So, you are saying, "Yeah, if I'm wrong, yer gonna die!" [:)]

I'm sorry, my dark sense of humor laughed out loud.

Well I'm going to be taking over time about enough to fill a good many vials. Its not for one big one.

I am, its for a project that I need to do in about 6 weeks.

MariaB -> RE: Blood draw (3/6/2015 1:29:10 AM)

Is this some sort of revenge project? Sorry but its all starting to sound a bit dodgy to me.

No I'm just trying out a silly project. Seriously its nothing very big, its not anything bad or serious. Just a silly project.

MercTech -> RE: Blood draw (3/6/2015 5:50:46 AM)

I guess I had an odd childhood. I could draw blood and do blood typing when I was eight.
I can imagine the hissy fits modern schools would have with a fifth grader blood typing his class as a science fair project.

So, let me get this straight... you know... because I am a little slow...

You want to draw blood from yourself. You need to know how much you can lose before you would die. You refer to this as a silly project, and nothing serious.

Am I the only one that sees this as contradictory?

We did blood-typing in seventh grade; guess we were a little slow. [:)]

But that only seemed to take a finger stick, just as testing blood sugar does. I've only ever heard "blood draw" used in reference to finding a vein and filling at least a vial or two--or four or five, in my case.

Then there's the joy of when they need arterial blood . . . .

Whats contradictory about it?
