After reading so much and getting some great advice from people I have to reevalute who I am and what my role really is. Definitely not slave... thats %100 sure. id like to try both sides. And would like to make friends on both sides who can help me.

Good for you, best of luck. Remember there are no defined lines, just play and allow yourself to naturally sink into a role until you find your happy medium. The only person who knows that best is you.

Most times you simply need to carve out your own niche that you feel is better for you. I agree you can get great advice on many issues depending on how you identify though in the end, only you can decide where you belong.

What UnholyBear said is absolutely on-point. Don't worry about fitting into someone else's definition of what you're "*supposed*" to be. Figure out who you are and find the partner that best meshes with you. While labels can be helpful (that's arguable), people are all individuals. What some would define as "slave", I define as "submissive", etc. My inbox is always open to respectful questions. Michael

I would echo what everyone has said so far and I would add the following based on my personal experience. Take your time and make you first priority to HAVE FUN. Relax and and enjoy meeting people and trying different things. I think if you go into all of this with a lot of specific goals and expectations....especially early on, there is a much higher risk of coming out of it disappointed and hurt. If your attitude is more along the lines of "Let's see where this goes", there is a smaller chance of being disappointed, and a greater chance of discovering things that you never expected....and being pleasantly surprised.
