Thank goodness Arizona doesn't bother with daylight savings time. I am a creature of habit and that hour throws off my whole routine.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.

I'm happy, love when it stays light later in the evening and finally getting out of the dark, dreary winter.

Yeah really. It only barely hit 80 today and the overnight lows in the 60s are killing me.

I hate it this early. I was just starting to have daylight come not long after I get to work. Now I am back to the darkness for a couple of hours. And, the kids go back to catching buses in the dark. I don't know why we do this in March and November now, but I aint queen of the world....yet, so I cannot change it.

I love it !!! Combined with the warmer weather (which I'm sure we will get ... eventually ... one day) my days are so much productive

I once complained to my boss that I felt like I was getting ripped off. I was having an hour of my weekend taken away and felt ripped off. "I want my hour back," I said.

"Sure," said my boss, "You can have it back. I'll scheduled it in for this coming autumn."

I think part of the reason I hate it is the hours I work. It is much easier to go to bed when I need to in order to get up at 4:30 when it is dark. The couple of months I get off in the summer, I love the later daylight, I just think we do it too early now.

I did see this earlier and it cracked me up.

I think changing the clocks is an out-dated idea. Mind you: I want us to leave the clocks alone, now.

Obviously, I understand the original reasoning, but I don't know that if we just stayed on DST, the farmers would be all that adversely affected. I know there's places in the heartland (Indiana, comes to mind) where they don't observe DST and they seem to do just fine, growing things.

I'm all for never changing the clocks, again, from this moment, forward.

I measure my timing with my favorite MMORPG. If its midnight in London, it is usually 6pm here. Now that we spring forward, its 7pm. Thanks for fucking with my mind, Ben Franklin!!!

Farmers don't care. They work according to sunlight, no matter what the clock says.

I prefer it light later in the evening. December, when it's dark at 4:30PM is my least favorite time of year.

Yeah....I think I prefer it to be light later in the afternoon/evening than for it to be light in the morning.

And yes....that hour we lost was the one I was going to use to go to the gym!! Dammit!

It happens here in the UK too, and yes, it was all to do with the war, black outs at night, and the farmers. the thing is, it fucks up the body clocks of animals such as dairy cows that expect to be milked at certain times, and it fucks up a lot of people during the winter too. I hate fall back personally. In Scotland they complain because they are further North, and they claim they need the extra hour in the morning for schools, and such. the thing is this; no matter what the damn clock says we get the same amount of light in the day, so if your kids are going to school in the light in the morning, they come home in the dark at night. I hated going to work in the dark, and going home in the dark just because of 'fall back'. without that I would have had an extra hour of light at night.

now, for me, it doesn't matter so much, but I still hate the change. my body has been getting me ready for it for the last couple of weeks though

I didn't forget but my body wanted to (did) forget. Slept through all three of my alarms.
Yes, I have three alarms in the morning and typically only sleep through the first one.
