Not so sure I agree with this, and has nothing to do with religion.

I do know a lot of people that will enjoy it tho. LOL

You know it will be something to sneak on a plane, or into a sports venue, or anywhere where alcohol would not be available even at a premium price. But sure makes backpacking and mountain climbing a more interesting activity!

Oh My Dog, that would have made hiking the Appalachian trail lighter.

There is some stuff you can get from Fiji in a powdered form that goes by the name of 'Kava'. It tastes disgusting but it will certainly have you talking to the little animals on the wallpaper.

I find this very interesting as dry chemical alcohol just might lead to the long imagined "powdered gasoline" Yep, if broken down to its chemical atoms; gasoline is basically charcoal and water. Making CH3CH2OH with a powder added to water is an interesting first step.
BTW... website for the company making the stuff.

I'd be more interested if it was a way to get dry stable safe storage of alcohol for fuel use.

Kava.. I remember a native Hawaiian telling me that chewing a bit of Kava leaf was good for getting to sleep when you have tired muscles and gives interesting dreams. Maybe I should have tried it.
I'm assuming the Kava mention was about
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kava
and not about the brand of acid free instant coffee.
