I'm addicted lately - particularly to 60's and 70's shows.

There is one series that I remember having seen as a child, but I don't know what it was called. It always started with the main character running up moving stairs. He sold hotdogs and other food from a moving van; usually to factory workers or other labourers, I seem to recall. There was another man who also sold food from such a van and they were in competition. Besides that, the main character was some kind of superhero.

I've grew up watching Adam 12 and Dragnet 67. Those are personal favorites of mine.

Don't forget Adam-12 or Emergency. H.R. Pufnstuf, the Banana Splits. Come home for lunch in grade school watch the Flintstones at noon. The Brady Bunch & the Partridge Family. French Canadian as a child: Chez Hélène, Grujot & Délicat, Sol & Gobelet. The Friendly Giant, One Day At A Time, Good Times. The list goes on.... Funny that, we thought Emergency was so cutting edge back then. I saw it a few years ago after shows like E.R., had to laugh. All they really did was scoop & run.

I started Emergency. Just couldn't get into really.

There are the classic extremely long running shows like "Gunsmoke" and "Bonanza". I have fond memories of "Have Gun, Will Travel". Now, there are some that one should avoid unless you want a visual version of ipecac. "My Mother, The Car" "Courtship of Eddie's Father" "Manimal"

Classic cartoons aside, the only shows I truly miss from the 60s or 70s are "Hill Street Blues" (Also a Bochco production, like "NYPD: Blue") and Star Trek. With the latter, it's more about missing what might have been had NBC not purposely killed the show by putting it in a time slot that was known to be death for their biggest demographic (The show was popular with 18-25 year old males so, naturally, NBC put it at 2200 Friday night). anybody remember a series called 'Staccatto', starring John Cassavettes..................he was a detective who played piano in a club in his spare time. Or it might have been he was a piano-player who was a detective in his spare time !!

OH goodness. I didn't realize anyone remembered "My Mother, the Car" with Jerry VanDyke. It was such a silly premise, but worked in it's own way.

Jacky Bam-Bam, the overnight DJ at Philadelphia's WMMR frequently plays the theme from The Banana Splits and the Monkees in between Pearl Jam, Van Halen, Disturbed, and who knows what else.

Hey I kinda liked "Manimal" lol I agree it was a very cheesy series but was fun to watch at that time!

I guess I wasn't as completely out of it, as I had previously thought, in the 80s! [:D] '81 was about when my band started "taking off" and between that and living on my own and still going to my last year of high school, I was a bit ... burnt. I guess I didn't think I had time in '81 for TV shows. I know (and this is impossible even for me to believe) I had little time for MLB and NFL for those years ('81-'86). The truth is: If someone told me they were ending "TV", tomorrow, I would only regret the loss of baseball and football. Michael

I always liked Get Smart. That and The Munsters were shows we watched as a family.

I watched 60s TV shows in the 60s. I was an expert at dialing the station in with our fancy motorized rotary aerial antenna. I spent time watching The Addams Family, The Beverly Hillbillies, Hogan's Heroes, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Star Trek, Batman and Outer Limits. All light viewing compared to the bigger thrills of Perry Mason and The Untouchables and later in the 60s, shows like The Rat Patrol and The Invaders. I think The Invaders would still be worth watching today. The Invaders - Full Series

60's, Batman, Lost in Space and Jonny Quest. 70's, MASH, and everybody had a variety show.

I used to enjoy watching The Box. It took a while to warm up, which is why our cat sat on it... until she dozed off and fell off. They don't make 'em like that any more.
