Status: offline 		Genuine question.
I am looking for a slave in Germany (possibly Greece).
But about half the postings have no location.
If you are looking for real contact why would you do that?
Germany is a huge country and unless someone's profile is totally exceptional, I won't travel.
Does no location = fake or is there some other explanation e.g. online only ?
I suppose if you live in a tiny village I can see a reason, but you could put down the area or nearest town.

Status: offline 		I think many are not aware of the fact that the "location" CS shows is actually what you fill in the text box called "City" ; it does not really display your country.

Status: offline 		People are entirely too quick to dismiss people as "fake" before even talking to them.

Has it occurred to you there is a certain safety risk involved? What you put on a profile for everyone to see isn't always the whole of what you're willing to share. It's easy to ask someone where in Germany they live, and easy to answer "in the _____ area" until you two have some kind of familiarity. (Alternatively, "in the _____ area so a bit far from you.")

The town listed on my profile is not the town where I reside, though it is close. Not making it that easy for axe murderers.

Status: offline 		Some people do and some don't. As the other posters stated, many don't simply to have that added sense of security by not revealing the town/city they are in on their profile.

Status: offline 		Different people have different ideas of what info they want to put online. I suppose there could be other kinds of reasons. Maybe they don't think location is important and perhaps they are willing to travel for the right person. Who knows. Just talk to them.

Status: offline 		Why do you put your age as 99? I am assuming that you ARE younger but this could give someone the belief that you are fake... The problem with online dating is that so many abuses HAVE occurred that we all have to be wary PLUS you throw in that we are looking for something that is not mainstream which some people prefer to NOT have known in their vanilla lives so they don't put too much identifying info.... People generally have a reason for doing stuff. You can just ask and some will tell you the truth or you can just pass over those that you are suspicious of

Perhaps the problem is that I assume everyone thinks the way I do.
I don't like online and I would want to meet a potential slave several times in a cafe before even considering going further.
That isn't very practical if I live in Berlin and she resides in Bavaria.
I do understand about privacy and security but surely it makes more sense to say Bavaria rather than "here and there" or nothing at all?
Anyway, thanks a lot for taking the trouble to reply.

If I were a sub woman living in Germany, I would omit my location simply because of your profile alone.

Genuine answer-- I never felt the need to put my exact location on here. The truth is that I don't have problems with hopping in the car and travelling a bit to meet someone, and I didn't want to limit myself by putting down an exact location.

I can't answer for Europe but here in the US we're still sort of considered mentally ill. While the DSM5 is better than the previous version it's still not what we'd like to see and many people's opinions lag behind the DSM5. As such being in the closet as to ones lifestyle is rather typical. This can take the form of not entering or miss-entering location info. Not having a profile pic or a pic that hides ones face. Flaking out and not showing to scheduled meetings, etc.

When posting that you are looking for a partner in either Germany or Greece which are 2,147 km apart, and then saying, "I won't travel" . . . you can expect many people to look at your profile to try and understand what you said. That is quizzical Geography and leaves us wondering if you expect your partners to pay for their travel because you said, "No free air tickets."

Your OP asks if people who withhold information about location are fake. But you post from a profile that withholds information like your age/photo. Seems like the pot calling the kettle black and you should expect that you would receive some comments.

Nonetheless, our forum membership has posted more valid answers to your question than questions about the oddities of your OP and you have responded politely to the critiques and jibes. Well done on everyone. So now that we have answered your questions, perhaps you will answer ours; why are you hiding your age and why is someone from Germany seeking slaves from Greece?
