Unless I missread it, the op was also done as light hearted amusement. But apparently while it was ok to laugh at crap Sarah said, it's not ok to laugh at Hillary. Should be an interesting run. I wonder if pig wearing lipstick cracks will be scorned as well. That was a really popular one.

I think you misread it somewhat, THB. I did catch a note of seriousness in the OP. It doesn't work to laugh *at* Clinton, unless you can cast what Clinton herself said as meant seriously. Otherwise, you have to laugh *with* her - which isn't something a Clinton-critic would generally feel like doing.

engaging in sarcastic hyperbole doesn't change the idea that what Hillary Clinton did as concerns her having a private email server, destroying emails, and deciding herself what documents were private and what were public, as being a bad, if not illegal thing.

Was that meant for the other Clinton thread?

As I recall, summer camp was a time for all kinds of hijinks and antics and mischief-making. Some of the camp counselors could be real jerks, but some kids found ways of getting back at them. Nothing too severe; it was all good fun. Although it might have been inconvenient for someone to find that there's a frog in their bed.

Not if you were different. The fat kid. The uncoordinated kid. The kid with glasses. Braces.

Seriousness? Really Peon? Writing parody from satire is what you think is serious?

Jokes about chocolate fun rations and "No fruit cup for you," is serious?

Wow.

In that case, why bother to start the thread? What was the point?

It was political and it was funny. Kind of like the "perpetually offended" thread. And we needed some new news about Hillary.

OK. On the video, she seemed to be referring to the political class as the 'enforced denizens' of these camps. I'm not sure how these summer camps work over there in the US these days ... would it involve compulsory cross country runs for e.g. the senators? Lots of hearty push ups at the crack of dawn? I'm enjoying that thought. ;-)

I haven't alluded to that "I know". nobody knows...that's the point.

Hillary Clinton, or her team, are not entitled to be the arbiters.

Sort of what we thought when 22 million emails went missing in the W days, then again the additional 7 million in the W days, and the sealing of some untold number for 50 years in the W days.

Let's get on that one first, cuz those led us to the shit sandwich we find ourselves in nowadays.

Yes. Although I wear contacts a lot as well.

I call it "Big E syndrome." I cannot read the "Big E" on the eye chart.

I thought of the same thing years ago, but wasn't entrepreneurial enough to pursue it. Oh well.

And yet, strangely, our enemies think we have become weak and effete.

Underestimating the U.S. is as old as the republic.

A favorite exchange from Casablanca:

RENAULT: If Rick has the letters, he's much too smart to let you find them there.

STRASSER: You give him credit for too much cleverness. My impression was that he's just another blundering American.

RENAULT: But we mustn't underestimate American blundering. I was with them when they "blundered" into Berlin in 1918.

Strasser looks at him.

Heh. It's one of those things I've sometimes *thought* I've heard, occasionally, in an American accent, but probably usually haven't. The only time I was sure of it was with Spike the Dog in the 'Tom and Jerry' cartoons.

Relevance to nothing at all: Gawd did I fancy Ingrid Bergman in that film. Just saying.
