Seems that when he has to choose a health care insurance policy for himself being enslaved by obamacare is the best option.
Irony, Hypocrisy, both?

D) Neither

He chose to not take government health insurance and get it through his wife's employer. Now that she no longer has that employer option, they would be without health care.

"members of Congress would be on the exchanges without subsidies"

Since he doesn't have an option outside of his wife's employer, and not having insurance is illegal, it seems like his only option is to be on an exchange.

Seems he knows a good deal when he sees it. Smart guy.

I am not sure what the problem is. While he admits he is against it, he also says he considers it the law and you have to follow all the laws, not just the ones you disagree with. Now I really haven't paid much attention to the guy but to me, this makes him look better, not worse.

bounty44 -> RE: Private insurance are not good enught for ted cruz (3/26/2015 4:48:59 AM)

the more disturbing thing about the thread is how quickly people are to look for "gotcha" moments as opposed to giving others benefits of doubt, or doing a little more digging as to what is actually going on.

and also, how inconsistent (partisan) they seem to be in doing so...

...or sign another policy with a private company for a better service but it seems there were no better deals...

I don't see nothing disturbing at all, so enlight me what's going on?

Please excuse me if I have this wrong but doesn't he have the option of purchasing one of the many personal health insurance packages on the market for himself? I suspect he does but prefers to avail himself of Obamacare because it makes more financial sense ie it's cheaper for him. Of course Cruz enjoys the benefit of having a taxpayer funded large salary so it's not like he can't afford a private policy .......

Of course if he does have the option I have just outlined and he still chooses to use the Obamacare option, then he is being a rank hypocrite by using the very healthcare program he rails against so vociferously.

Incidentally by taking the Obamacare option he is implicitly confirming that it is a superior option to others on the marketplace, which also runs directly contrary to his public stance and statements. All up it is difficult to see how Cruz can avoid being labelled and justifiably labelled a rank hypocrite for his actions in this instance.

So the fact that to this guy you are a citizen not worthy of all of the rights and privileges of your fellow citizens is okay ?
As long as he is on board with the rest of your conservative agenda you are willing to swallow his stance on homosexuality ?

There you go,a poster who see's the situation as it is ,rather than how Rush told her/him to see it.
Thanks tweak, crystallized nicely as usual [:)]

13,000 plus posts give me a general idea....your profile information adds to that.Enough information for me to know that with this guy you would need to cut your nose to spite your face were you to vote for him.
And if you don't know what this guys stance is concerning homosexuality you really shouldn't be posting on a political forum.
Hell his choice of location for his announcement would tell even the moderately intelligent all they need to know about his views on the subject.

What SSDD means I have no idea and less interest

Well one would think so but from reading your posts it obviously isn't. Otherwise you wouldn't get it so wrong so often. As for my profile, other than saying I'm in a relationship and only here for the forums it really doesn't tell you anything. It has a few likes and dislikes but nothing political. But as I said before you don't seem to have a problem lying so I am not surprised you brought it up. As to the location, it was a youtube clip with something about cnn, other than that I have no clue, nor do I care where he was when he said it. If I think he might show up on a ballot one day, I will certainly look into him, but until then I have better things to do with my time.

edited to add

ssdd same shit different day

"the location for his announcement" I suppose refers to his announcement to run for president (liberty college) not that he excanged insurance throught obamacare

edit: slavemike please correct me if I'm wrong

Oh no you are right and the other poster is just playing dumb.
I'm assuming it's playing anyway.....

slvemike4u -> RE: Private insurance are not good enught for ted cruz (3/26/2015 10:18:48 AM)

Your profile says "lesbian" right.....your agenda here is decidedly conservative .
Have I gotten anything wrong yet....any lies contained within those two statements ?

You are here on an adult kink website

Now if you can't figure out the divergence of your lifestyle and his viewpoints I can't help you.
If you are here on a political forum posting claptrap with out realizing he made his speech at Liberty College and all that means for the gay and lesbian community, again I can't help you .
But I do suggest you find someone to explain it to you before you go much further, you really should try to figure this shit out.

Lucylastic -> RE: Private insurance are not good enught for ted cruz (3/26/2015 11:16:42 AM)

probably has more to do with the fact, that they put their whole life savings into running for president, she left her job to help him and now he "cant afford" private insurance. When its not as cheap"LOL" as the plan he has as a perk, under the aca

slvemike4u -> RE: Private insurance are not good enught for ted cruz (3/26/2015 11:18:29 AM)

What is this aca you speak of ?
