ORIGINAL: joether Some guy orders a wedding cake. Does the baker have a right to interrogate the customer on how the customer plans on using the cake? NO. None of their fucking business! An contracted to deliver the cake on a certain date at a certain place before a certain time. Unless that baker is moon lighting as a private investigator; what business is it to them, whom the cake is for? Just out of curiosity, you don't think a request for the traditional figures on the top of cake to be two "grooms" or two 'brides" would be a clue? If that was considered traditional for two grooms or two brides to be on a wedding cake; that would imply no one has a problem with gay marriage. Do you have a problem with gay marriage? quote:

ORIGINAL: joether But lets torpedo your argument one more time (because this is fun). How does the pseudo-Christian baker know that the money they are holding....didn't....come from a gay wedding, but given to them by a heterosexual guy whom fixes cars, whom got the money from another heterosexual guy whom sells health insurance, whom got it from a gay couple looking to make long term plans? Just out of curiosity, what bearing does who is paying for the cake have on the objection to contributing to the celebration of a gay marriage? If the cake is generic, and the person plans on adding two grooms to it later; what should the baker care? Bakers, if you dont understand, tend to be artists in their own right. Many bakers will have no problem with two people marrying for good reasons. Be they man & women, two men, or two women. Its just a cake that gives them gross profit, right? Many bakers will add to the generic cake to make it more appealing to the consumer. More cakes bought from happy customers, the more business they will likely have. Of course, being a dickhead in the community gets around pretty fast when your business depends upon the public. I just took the logic to its conclusion. That if the pseudo-Christian has a problem with gay marriage, then any money given to them, from any source, could have come from a gay person doing something gay. Therefore, can not accept any money, unless they can verify completely the money has never been in the hands of gay people. What these bigots dont know, is that the US Government has a few gay people at the US Treasury that touch each bill at least once.....
