An avatar is the picture you put up.

No, I understand the problem. You want him to do as he pleases, unfortunately there will be pet peeves that just irritate us and don't make us feel slavish.

Being human, it's quite common to have two diametrically opposed emotions at the same time. No need to feel upset or guilty about either. This is part of being human. Remember, feelings aren't facts. They don't have to make sense, which is a damn good thing as most of the time they don't.

Not entirely clear on your situation. How does it take from 5:00AM - 7:00AM to prepare a bath? Do you not live with your master and that includes travel time? Also, are you present when your master bathes and simply have to wait for him to finish in the bathroom to clean up or are you returning later in the day to clean up?

In any case, get over your pet peeve about the bath water and be grateful you have the opportunity to serve your master daily. It sounds like a wonderful task that would give me a great feeling of service and pride in belonging to a dominant master.

Telling someone that their emotions aren't valid is never a helpful suggestion.
The op had a very successful relationship and enjoyed many forms of service. Sticking his hand in cold dirty water to pull the plug wasn't one of them. Nor did it have to be.

Why does it take 2 hours to get him ready in the morning?
Well, there's his clothes- ironing, shining shoes, no holes in socks, etc, gathering everything .- keys, phone, belts etc. Gather weather appropriate outer clothing. Making his breakfast, getting the coffee going, setting his table, peeling his fruit, getting his newspaper. Getting the bathroom ready for him. Everything has to be with in reach and made sure it's there.Putting new blades in his razor. making sure his aftershave is ready-not having an empty bottle. getting his soaps. Getting his towels, wash clothe ,robe, slippers. Pouring his bath with very hot water. You have to "pre- do" anything and everything to get him awakened, bathed, dressed and fed in one hour from 7 AM to 8 AM, so that he doesn't feel rushed.

Did I ever say anything to Louis about this? Hell NO. And it's not that it might cause him to be angry or anything. He wasn't that kind of master. It was my job to do what ever to please him. I always felt very proud that I was his devoted servant AND I loved the guy. I don't know why it irked me so. A pet peeve is the answer.

Wait a second... Louis is in the past tense? Care to explain?

The op is 62. His master could have died from any number of things.

"Lamentations" is a lovely word. Haunting, melancholy. We need more of that and less bitter sock ranting, IMO.

I was doing that today too. Trying to find a post by Rochsub and then remembering all sorts of people who don't post anymore.

The op is 62? Ya had to bring that up, huh? I'm so old anything could have happened? Thanks. Really appreciate that.

Yes, Louis is in the past tense.

He was eaten by a rampaging dinosaur.

:)

smiling and laughing at many replies - methanks those

us men have no filth we have an intriguing man musk and its remnants which often cling to bathtubs

A clean bath! thee say! I have heard of such malarkey, whispered in hushed tones - oh wait i was married long, long ago and it used to say to me are you ever going to clean the bath - how I fell about in mirth she was definitely not a keeper..and get this guys she thought when i hosed down the loo with my man bits and splattered the four corners of the bathroom, did i ever make the ceiling I think i did once, with my magnificence...she thought if i pointed it at the curious vortex it came in its general direction and not right left angles or is that just me?

Yipes, me thinks thyne answer is in thy etherial waves of cosmic energy in the dawn of the rising Venus, Orest thou thinkest of he of the flowing waters of the noble ones. OR some such frikken babble. And inevitably, a serious question is going to turn out to be a nonsensical bitch session between "Hell's Fire123" and "RapingThemall"- neither of which have ever had an intimate moment with another human being, and we know you haven't been taking those little pills the doctor told you to take. Every discussion ends with some idiot rambling away and two fighting harpies. If anybody is thinking of getting me kicked out-don't bother. This site is 80% bullshit. And 20% in desperate need of a medication change.

I'm going to need to see some Flounce Footage... so many of you never give any kind of award winning performances and it's pissing me off, you slackers.

Louisboy, If this was in reply to me, I apparently said something to seriously upset you. My post was meant in good spirit and genuinely regret it f I offended you. I have a weird sense of humor and forget to reign it in at times. Again, not sure what I said to upset you so terribly but I do apologize if I did.

ETA. After reading the post above his I'm guessing his verbiage is in response to that. I still don't get what triggered his ire but hopefully he finds his happy place even if it isn't here.
