SexyRed -> stupid questions (7/15/2006 9:57:17 AM)

I am mystified as to some of the questions that I am asked when receiving emails. I was just contacted by someone who asked me if I am having any luck on this site. I asked why he asked.

He said he has been on the site for a while, left and how he was back and he noticed my profile a long while ago and he sees that I am still here and why haven't I met the right person.

How does one respond to such a ridiculous question? Grrrrr.....

deleted for being too impatient!!

PlayfulOne -> RE: stupid questions (7/15/2006 10:11:07 AM)

One doesn't, you just shake your head and go on about your business. Unless you want to talk with him,  but then you probably wouldn't be asking us.

Damn, did I miss the memo about not responding to new people?

well, thanks for all the the support. I just realized that the standard posters here get their queries answered, anyone new, well we can talk to ourselves.

It can take time for folks to answer a thread; some think things out. So, you might want to work on your patience a bit. [8|]

I don't see the person in question as asking a particulary "stupid" question. Maybe he thinks you're a sexy and intelligent woman, and is amazed someone hasn't snapped you up.

sorry for being so impatient, having one of those weeks of being inundated with too many dumb questions and I guess today it boiled over.

there was no memo, carry on!

meatcleaver -> RE: stupid questions (7/15/2006 10:19:33 AM)

Hmm I guess if your profile (I haven't looked) indicates you are still looking (if you were looking in the first place), he might think that this site is a pointless hunting ground or that there is something about you putting potential partners off.

He might also be making an oblique approach to you without wanting to appear too forward. Most complaints I've seen by subs is that too many (would be) doms are too forward and wanting the sub they approach to get on their knees and give a BJ before saying hello.

You'll have to ask him.

SexyRed -> RE: stupid questions (7/15/2006 10:23:45 AM)

Right. He replied back that he and I had spoken when he was under another profile name and that I was not interested in him then.

So instead of coming right out with that information, he went in the back door to ask that question.

I did not recognize his photo or name, so I still maintain that you can express interest in someone without coming on too strong or too obliquely.

Just say hello, I liked your profile and continue. If we spoke before and it was not good, chances are it won't be good again.

Well yep, then he is being stupid. If a change of name made someone more attractive, I'd be doing it myself.

Hmm I wonder?[sm=idea.gif]

Naw, the first time someone mentioned "social work" we'd know who you were [:D]

Yea!!  Stupid Questions!!  I think my best one was asking if I'd ever consider a Black Bull.
(a portion of the senders handle)

my reply was something like this.
" Been there! Actually had a whole herd of um once we banded.  my job was to kneel on their necks while we clamped the bands on their nuts.  Those little bulls sure did bellow! "

hee heeee...........
