Well a legitimate discussion of Rand Paul seems kind of off topic in this thread but whatever I guess we've got to do something until the real candidates announce.

Being an atheist means one doesn't believe in the mysticism of the gods which is what belief in the words in a book (bible, which was as much a political document with its notable exclusions) really is.

One can regard the historical figures in these books as moral philosophers who tried to give humankind a moral code to live by...and that's all. Atheism is non belief in a god or ruler of the universe....non-theism.

ran paul couldn't run as a tea party guy wouldn't last.....neither would cruz or anybody. The sad part is in most any other election those two gentlemen would be drowned out by the rhinos

do you know how scary fun it could be if you get two hard core conservatives trying to be more conservative than the other...instead of two so called conservatives trying to be more moderate?
and the communist part or the dems would shit themselves....because they cant and don't dare say what they really want.

Fact is, you can't find any real conservatives anymore. They will flip flop on social issues to pander and thus are all over the map and will borrow and spend for their for-profit sponsors.

Just because you don't think there aren't DINO's means fuckall to them actually existing. A moderate dem, is not a RINO, because they aren't even a Republican in name! How can someone not a Republican be "Republican In Name Only?"

You are not wanted in the democrat party as a moderate, Its why I have no fear of Hillary. Moderate democrats have to run as republicans. Rhinos. I am sure republican are trying to be dinos. but those guys were never conservative on any level in the first place.
i.e they were dems all along.

Moderate dems voted in Clinton and Obama a majority of whom will never vote for any repub.

Status: offline 		youre not the first person ive heard say that...but this actually was the contention he had with savannah Guthrie. so my response here would be, like his, "why don't you ask me if I have changed my mind?" which is to say---in rand paul's own words, taking context into account, exactly what issues has paul "flip flopped" on?

this is some speculation on my part (and on others') who think this might have to do with favorable treatment from the state department whose timing seemingly coincided with large donations to the Clinton foundation, and which also represented a change in status or position prior to the donation.

that is---state department says "we don't like you" or "no we wont give you this or that"

country x gives the Clinton foundation millions of dollars.

state department says "we like you now" and "you can have this and that"

Might also be that they are doing it to start they're campaigns and trying to position themselves, while Hillary has no announced competition yet. She's the only runner, thus, she's the front runner, and, nationally, she already has name recognition.
