My dog was pretty immune for punishment for a while.... we had an asshole cop for a neighbor as a kid. We showed great pyranees, and whenever Lazar would bark he would threaten him, once climbed over our fence to hit him but Lazar pinned him in a corner until we got home. After that they said we had to stop his barking or he would be taken away... So the first was a spray collar, sprays smelly stuff in their face... he would turn it around and bark until it was empty.... Next a shock collar.... he liked it Then they made us get him deparked and neutered... they overdosed him on sedatives and he didn't wake up for a week after that he never moved, never played.... he just lay on the ground and let my sister(2) hit him with shovels. He stayed like that until we moved to a place where it snowed and he got to be in his first blizzard, he was zip lined to the deck and was so excited he pulled out the support beams and ran off.... the neighbors apparently reported polar bear sightings so my parents called in a hurry to tell them not to shoot our dog he wasn't a bear and we found him but we're told he had to stay inside without supervision after that and he went back to being a rug. Poor lazar, he was such a good boy. He rang a bell to pee, could add small numbers(say what's 2+3 he would stomp his paw 5 times), he was the best squirrel catcher around, and he protected me countless times, but humans are dicks.
