If you could start your life over and go back to certain point and be able to fix your mistakes would you? I have mixed feelings on one hand I think it would be a great opportunity to right wrongs on another hand I think I'd probably just make different mistakes than I did the first time around.

Every once in a while, someone posts a great question here that is just incredibly innovative and insightful.

This of course, wasn't one of those but...it was pretty damned interesting nonetheless.

And my answer is....at 56....no. Every one of those mistakes are the foundation of who I am and what I've learned so.....no.

But I would like an extra 25 - 40 years more than I'll get.

Who was it who coined the sentiment that "Youth is wasted on the young"? [&:]

I've thought at times ever since I turned 40 (maybe even in my mid-30's), and many a time since, if only I knew then what I know now.

This is a sure sign that you're advancing in age. . . .
But, I don't envy young people of today and the numerous challenges they face. Having a solid support system is not an option. You might think you can just do your own thing without repercussions, but we all have to pay the piper in life.

For one thing, I'd definitely like to go back and bitchslap myself for being so unsure of myself and overthinking everything.

Qft!
