Liberal - a person that believes they have an inherent moral right to the contents of your wallet in order to do whatever harebrained scheme is considered politically popular at the moment. Any consideration for maintaining infrastructure or following through on a previous harebrained scheme disqualifies from being a true liberal. Identifiable by the absolute certainty that anyone who disagrees with them is some sort of deviant that needs to be controlled. Quite capable of forcing their ideas on others by ordering armed troops to enforce their dictates on anyone that disagrees with them. Convinced that all the smelly masses that "aren't our kind of people" are children to either be supported for their bleak little lives or severely controlled and punished if they ware wayward enough to try and do something for themselves.
Conservative - a person that believes that the only reason everyone isn't as successful as them must be due to laziness or moral turpitude. Considers laws and rulings of yesteryear to have come on stone tablets from burning bushes. Capable of great generosity to those of the same tribe and ethos but violently opposed to government being in the charity business. Considers government's purpose to enable big business to post record profits and damn the little guys.
Progressive - believes in the systematic and progressive takeover of all facets of human existence by regulation and penalty. Considered any expression of behavior outside the median norm to be dangerously uncontrolled. Insists they celebrate diversity but only if the diversity is from the approved list of diversities.
Libertarian - Adults that like to go "neener neener neener" at the other political variants. Basically, they don't like playing your game and want to play in their own back yard but can't agree well enough to settle on which back yard. Other political tribes are afraid of them because they know their god, NOTA, would win most elections if allowed on the ballot.
Moderate - Usually found doing a face palm and yelling, "can we get back to business, ok?". Just wants to get this government stuff done so they can go play golf.
Communist - believes everything should belong to everyone and be administered by a committee of the elite.
Fascist - believes everything should belong to the state and be administered by a committee of the elite.
Socialist - is convinced the only reason for government is to provide benefits to the people and works very hard to make applying for benefits a full time job that requires more effort and time than many jobs do and uses up 90% of the benefit budget administering the benefit application process.
