I mean this is America after all, and that's the most important thing.

Well ya! This system has lifted more people,out of poverty than anything else ever tried. Heck, poor people here have color tv, air conditioning and game boys. Do you resent people having game boys and eating whatbthey want instead of what they can find? Google, for instance, how much France, Germany, and Britain pay for their national defense. It's in the low millions. They exist because we can afford to pay for that for them. If they had to pay their share Theyre socialism would collapse in a week. Come on now.,as much as you hate it, give credit where credit is due.

Writing in the Washington Post, Ezra Klein said that the bill had some good ideas but that it would not work. In particular he said "its version of the health insurance exchanges will collapse pretty quickly because the bill contains

no individual mandate ensuring that the pool includes both healthy and sick individuals
no insurance market regulations stopping insurers from cherrypicking
no risk adjustment rebalancing the scales when they do."
He said "In other words, this looks much like the reforms that collapsed in Texas, and in California. Price isn't learning from past policy mistakes, and so he means to repeat them."
