that does happen unfortunately yes, but thankfully very rare...

and not too tongue in cheek, some of us in the conservative and libertarian camp would argue that public school leans towards "liberal programing/indoctrination."

on the contrary---homeschool children typically turn out better adjusted, better prepared and often more successful in the next step of their lives (college) than their age related public school peers.

Cult programing notwithstanding, of course.
Depends on what you mean by cult programming...

a. You're owed esteem just by being you. (Um no...they're not)

b. We know better than your mom and dad do about what to feed you (um no...they do not)

c. It's o.k. to have two mommies...or two daddies (ummm...not to everyone and that's o.k. too)

d. Except for the clothes on your back and your backpack, nothing you bring to school is really yours. It's bettbetter to share with everyone (um...no. If I sent it with my kid to school and told him that its his, it's HIS choice to share)

e. America is no more exceptional than any other country. (um yeah...we are...in a lot of ways)

f. Punctuation doesn't matter...the thought does. (Bullshit. If the kids are intelligent enough to have a thought, they're intelligent enough to punctuate it)

g. Dress codes are for everyone...well, except the little Muslim boy and girl.

"In a lot of ways"? Name one...

Reading that makes me worry about some of you people, actually.

Some of us would consider forced attendance at government only run institutions in order to be inculcated in a liberal philosophy to be very cult like.(shhh. Okay, I only made this sound real dramatic so tweak gets all bent out of shape. Don't tell her.)

Cults have seemed to prosper even with public schools. I agree, it might make it easier for the cult leader to say, ya my kids are in school, rather than hide them. But a home school isn't going to make or break a cult.

actually, it looks a lot more like this for most of us:

That's strange because for a lot of people I know, a family portrait looks more like:

You know, where heterosexuals aren't excluded from the family photo?

incredible isnt it?only left wingers have abortions[:'(]....or maybe...not so much.

http://www.christiantoday.com/article/many.women.in.church.have.had.an.abortion.but.its.the.last.place.they.can.talk.about.it/54193.htm

Just because we don't talk about it, doesn't mean that abortion isn't something that affects Christian women. One in three women will have an abortion by the time they are 45 according to national statistics. That means that there are inevitably women in church who will have had an abortion – and it isn't just something that happens before they came to faith.

"There are many, many women sitting in churches who've had abortions, but just feel it's absolutely the last place they can talk about it," says Jenny Baines, who has worked with women facing unplanned pregnancies and seeking post-abortion counselling for more than 20 years. Now she's turning her attention to the Church, where abortion is a 'silent issue' that goes undiscussed and undealt with.

The Church's traditional emphasis on protecting the unborn child, as well as the language used by some pro-life campaigners, can often alienate women for whom it is a difficult issue. In response to the need she sees in the Church, Baines, together with CARE, is launching Open. It's a resource that's currently being developed to equip churches and church leaders to engage with this issue theologically, and she is currently travelling around the UK speaking at different churches and events. But it's also seeking to help support women in the Church who have had an abortion.
More at the link....http://www.christiantoday.com/article/many.women.in.church.have.had.an.abortion.but.its.the.last.place.they.can.talk.about.it/54193.htm

Oh and if anyone in the UK needs help ...you can go directly to http://www.care.org.uk/church-leaders/open
There are hundred of pages for help for women who are religous who have had abortion.... Of course someone will argue that left wingers can be religious. Of course they can, but hey lets just make a ridiculous fucking statement that only lives in your head.

I don't see exclusion when parents take their kids to the movies. I'm not sure how you do.

I saw no exclusion in the photo. I saw exactly what you're now claiming, a very rich family taking their children to their movie premier.

I saw exclusion in your chosen wording which was:

"actually, it looks a lot more like this for most of us"

So, for "most of you" (I'm guessing you meant leftwingers), the definition of "family" is two gay men who either adopted or, at least, one of them adopted the other's in vitro babies, out on the town.

According to you, "most of you" don't see heterosexuals as "family".

That was the exclusion I was talking about. It's subtle but it's starting ...

I'm not sure if I should refer you to the cultwatch link I posted earlier or start screaming Alinsky.

So I'll quote from a favorite fictional character of mine, Simi.

quote:

We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to us, and those we let into our hearts.

I actually took your cult watch comment as your usual humor and interesting insight. Really, if you've ever sat around with a bunch of Marines, that wouldn't even be recognized as an insult. It would be considered a compliment.

I see how you are. Like a lot of other "liberals" on here

The crimes were indeed somewhat similar. One committed his crimes as a juvenile, long ago, though. The other as an adult, and more recently. But thats not why you claim there is no comparison. Your only real criteria is party affiliation

Bill Clinton, Terrence Bean, it is literally impossible that they could have done anything wrong, because theyre Democrats

Duggar, however, has been seen in the company of "family values" Republicans. Therefore they are all worse than Hitler or Manson

No trial necessary

Clinton was a fucking whore that not only cut welfare and bombed away at whatever but also passed NAFTA. He just happened to create jobs here too and some good paying ones at that...and a surplus.

Clinton didn't try to hypocritically make political hay spouting Christian family values, he was just getting by looking for his next blow job and something the right thought was more important than Ronny and Bush's little wars and trading with terrorists.

Like I said...no comparison.

Clinton fought balancing the budget tooth and nail then took credit for it.

Actually he did pretend to family values. Often went to church with a bible in hand. I think your memory is selective.
