A misttess online is having me join her bdsm groups. So far here has been three websites i have had to purchase. She said there is only one more. I am wondering if this sounds like a scam to anyone else?

3-4 purchases seems standard. It's when you get to the 7+ range that things start to look suspicious.

On a serious note, you really need to use your common sense. Just because some pretty Mistress comes along and tells you to do things doesn't mean you have to do them. I don't care how desperate you are to play. Are you getting your play in now? Are you enjoying yourself?

Think with your proper head for a change and answer this question yourself.

Actually, I think 7 or more is normal.
It's only when it gets to somewhere upwards of a dozen that it starts to look like they're jerking you around.

In other words, if anyone who isn't a personal friend of yours asks for money, then, it's a scam. Period.

I will assume that the first contact she and you had was via cmail. When you open up a mail on this site you will see these words, "Read about Common Scams and Online Safety Information" in BIG BLUE LETTERS. Read those common scams. Is the one you fell for listed among them? If it is, then you have been scammed.

When online one must use common sense. One must also use the information provided by a web site such as this. In other words, read and beware before wasting your money.

The oddest thing happened, years ago, when I was in IT, trying to reduce spam.

In the days before professional filters were abundant, we wrote our own filters using procmail on UNIX workstations.

We had to write our own algorithms, and in doing so, I was publishing a report to the company, as a whole, how the spam filters were working. In the spam filters were real-world examples explaining how the filters worked.

Wouldn't you know it. Two people (out of a few hundred) actually ASKED for select spam messages!
Yup. I don't remember what the spam was (maybe viagra fakes or non-working radar detector jammers, whatever) - but - from that experience - I learned that at least a few percent of the people out there actually WANT what the spammers advertise!

No wonder spam works.
