With a knee to Obamas groin and a slap to Hillarys' face, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley has declared his candidacy (HMMM, who has been in power for the last several years) quote: BALTIMORE, Maryland (Reuters) - Former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley blasted social injustice and Wall Street excesses on Saturday as he announced he will seek the Democratic Party's 2016 presidential nomination as an alternative to frontrunner Hillary Clinton. "We cannot rebuild the American Dream here at home by catering to the voices of the privileged and the powerful," said O'Malley, who has aggressively courted the Democratic Party's liberal wing. He launched his 2016 White House campaign at a waterfront park in downtown Baltimore, where he began his political career first as a member of city council and then as mayor. "Powerful, wealthy special interests here at home have used our government to create, in our own country, an economy that is leaving a majority of our people behind," he said. Decrying big banks as having been behind the financial crisis of 2008, O'Malley singled out Goldman Sachs for particular criticism. He said that Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein had recently told his employees that "he’d be just fine" with either Republican Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton as president after the November 2016 election. "Well, I've got news for the bullies of Wall Street," O'Malley said. That's interesting. Bill Clinton won because he positioned himself just left of his opponent. He knew he'd get the lefty vote no matter what. So by positioning himself just left, he was able to pick up a lot of undecideds. Now, Hillary has leftist O'Malley and Socialist Bernie. She's going to have to move even further left in the primary because now she'll have two opponents making position speeches and asking her what is her position. So, he won't be able to pull Bill's trick. We'll see. I know Bill had no moral or political position beyond being president. We'll see if she does. The funny thing is, while I disagree with O'Malley and Bernie, at least we know what they believe. And the leftists will still vote for the one candidate that won't talk to the press let alone stating a position.

I think Hillary will remain fairly moderate, but progressive on the same issues the majority of the country is.

They are repeating things once more and setting themselves up for huge disappoints. Rewind about six years ago. Those on the right were bemoaning what would become the ACA. They tried....ANYTHING....and....EVERYTHING....to remove the bill. And they failed. After that they tried....ANYTHING....and....EVERYTHING....to get rid of it become Americans started learning its good benefits. Now, they are faced with Hillary Clinton. As we have seen in many threads already, the fear of destiny and reality about to become true. They have tried and will continue to do so, trying.....ANYTHING....and...EVERYTHING....to avoid Hillary from becoming the next US President. And they will fail. Mr. O'Malley does not have a decent chance. Maybe if Mr. Sanders was the only ticket on the Democrat's side. An it is amusing to watch conservatives and libertarians try to 'prop' Mr. O'Malley up as much as they can. Since if Mrs. Clinton was not in the race, those same conservatives and libertarians would be trying to rip down Mr. O'Malley.
