Didn't Kerry turn on the military likening them to the hoards of Genghis Khan? Then he made a big show of throwing his medals over the White House wall only to claim he actually threw someone else's when called on it in 04. To many of us that negates the respect he is due as a veteran.

AMEN!!!

I wonder if he'll ask the president to put him in for another Purple Heart.

Only if he wants an "early out" from State. That's the only reason he collected the dubious PHs in 'Nam.

Prescient

Are ya ready for another one?

The article says he'll "participate by phone" in a "summit" on Tuesday. When this shitty deal gets "OK"ed and he announces his run for President in 2016, the word will go out, from this time and place (apologies to President Kennedy) that he wasn't even there, when the shitty deal went down.

Thought of plausible deniability for some future gain had crossed my mind. I wondered if you'd have the same take. My thinking is that we elect people to high office to make the best decisions they can with the information they have. Now, within the Democratic Party, and to some extent the spineless Republicans, revisionist historians are running around trying to blame Bush and forcing people to be "Sorry" they made the best decision they could at the time. So, now politicians are starting to learn how to evade being "there" when tough decisions are made.

Mark it down. In less than six months time, this will be the scenario. I think he'll announce late because he doesn't have the money-raising ability that the anti-Christ (Hillary) does. So, the less time he actually spends in the race, the less money he'll have to raise.

The "chosen one" (Obummer) will find some way to do an end-run around congressional approval, all the while, trying to blame the congressional majority for the crapiness of the deal.

That said, at some point, the war criminal (Kerry, by his own admission) WILL be a "candidate" (even if officially un-announced, at that point) and the talking heads and Pablum©-pukers will be claiming he wasn't involved in that shitty deal.

Especially a femur.

The good thing is he is in shape and remains that way, it will help him a lot with the healing process. I find my clients that are in shape and suffer any type of Orthopedic problem, bounce back SO much quicker if they are in shape. Femurs are pretty straight forward, but not knowing this particular case, I would not presume to state an outcome for him. I don't honestly see a problem with him healing, but age and the type of fracture has much to do with it.

Oh, and by the way President Bush by many standards is a pretty good athlete. College baseball player at Yale. Recreational runner: Recreational cyclist: Bench presses 205 lbs. Threw a strike in first baseball game after 9/11.

Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves on Monday to mock John Kerry for the broken leg the secretary of state sustained in a bicycle accident near Geneva over the weekend.

In the space of just a few moments on his radio show, Limbaugh managed to insult Kerry's age, recreational habits and physical appearance, according to remarks posted on his website:

"Do you know how old John Kerry is? It's tough, you know. You can't tell a horse's age when you look it, and since Kerry looks like a horse, it's tough. But he's 71 years old. Now, would somebody tell me something? What is a 71-year-old man, secretary of state, doing riding a bicycle -- or, alternatively, windsurfing off Nantucket? Why is somebody riding a bicycle while in the midst of sensitive negotiations and attempting to secure nuclear weapons for Iran? Exercise? BS."
Kerry is a longtime cyclist who has been known to bring his bike with him on trips. However, Limbaugh claimed that Kerry was bicycling "for the photo-op, trying to look hip with the young generation that thinks life is all about exercise and fitness and so forth."

"You'd have never seen Dean Rusk with a bicycle out there. You'd have never seen Dean Acheson out there at Dulles on a bike," Rush said referring to other secretaries of state. "You'd have never seen the great Colin Powell out there on a bicycle heading off to a meeting at the UN. This is embarrassing."

Limbaugh also made reference to Kerry's combat service in Vietnam, for which he was decorated with a number of medals, including three Purple Hearts.

"John Kerry should apply for another Purple Heart. Yeah, another Purple Heart," Limbaugh said. "Well, it was an on-the-job injury, kind of, taking a break from sensitive negotiations with the Iranians, riding his stupid bicycle."

Limbaugh, 64, did not serve in the military.<end snip>

He sounds like some of you guys here:)

If a splinter got him a purple heart and removed from combat in Vietnam, I think a broken femur should get him a Medal Of Honor.
