Obama gives himself credit for making the United States "the most respected country on Earth"

Among living presidents, George W. Bush and Obama trail Jimmy Carter (56 percent), George H. W. Bush (64 percent) and Bill Clinton (64 percent) in terms of favorability.

It’s unclear what role, if any, either ex-president will play in his respective family member’s campaign. But another poll, conducted by Bloomberg Politics and the Des Moines Register, suggests some would like to see both involved in their theoretical administrations — at least in Iowa.

According to that poll, also released Wednesday, 83 percent of likely Democratic caucus-goers approved of the idea of Hillary Clinton using her husband, Bill, as a close adviser. (Just 9 percent said it was a “mostly bad” idea.)

And 57 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers supported the idea of George W. Bush playing the role of close adviser in a Jeb Bush presidency, while 33 percent called the idea “mostly bad.”

While I am sure there are folks out there who respect us, I am also sure there are a lot more who still think we are asshats. But it is kinda cute that he thinks he is that special. Personally I think the only thing his being elected has shown anyone is we have come a long way from our past in terms of racism but we still have a long way to go.

Yes, sorry if the wording might have been a little vague, that's what I meant to say.

And in response to sanity, just because it was Obama does not mean I must agree with him. I agree and disagree with politicians on the left all the time, as do many other liberals. As much as you disagree, we don't mindlessly agree with everything the parties we support say or do. And in terms of W, favourability ratings is one thing, unfavourability is another.

Um, the USA is one of the most racist cultures on Earth. Growing up in such a racist culture, you have no option but to become racists. You lot are drenched in racism. We Dutch know that USA people are racists because USA people nearly always confuse our god Zwarte Piet with some mortal from equatorial Africa. [8|]

I honestly don't remember ever saying that I thought you mindlessly agreed with everything the parties we support say or do. Maybe you could provide a link to that to refresh my memory or quit projecting so much.

I hate to break it to you sparky but I doubt the average american has even heard of your god Zwarte Piet or really cares who he is. But I am sure there are some who confuse the two. Interesting that you would take that and turn it into the whole country being racist. Makes me wonder if you don't have a bit of bigotry in there yourself feeding that anger and hatred. Certainly would explain a lot of your posts.
