So, I was lying in bed this morning, as most people are apt to do upon waking, but this morning was different than most other mornings. What made this morning different was that I thought of you. Oh my! Don't worry, I was partially dressed, and you were the gentleman you always have been. [;)]
But I was thinking, dang it, did I forget his birthday? I know you'd forgive me if I had, because you're a kind and understanding soul, but I would have felt really horrible if I had forgotten. Then I thought, heck, who needs a birth date as a reason to wish you all the happiness you can handle?! Hence, this post.
I want to thank you for the support you've always offered me, for virtually holding my hand during the scary times, especially when the Mister took ill, and for understanding my all too often silence. I've always been very private in sharing my personal life with others here, and as much as I love playing superwoman and handling whatever came my way, you somehow got me to “spill the beans” and share with you what was going on in my world. (darn you!) You always had the right words to encourage me, or the funniest stories to make me forget my worries, and even though our friendship exists only through emails, I was, and am, always very comforted knowing you were there.
So for all the wonderful things you do, and for the wonderful man that you are, I want to thank you, and wish you all the happiness you can handle. You deserve that, and so much more.
Ps: In case I actually DO forget your birthday, you'll forgive me, riiiiiiiigggghttt?
Pss: I know this could have just as easily been sent to you via email, but you've often said you miss me on the boards. So, being the practical poise that I am, I'm killing 2 birds with one stone.
Pss: This doesn't mean I'll be back posting like I used to anytime soon. I'd like to eventually, but heck, I'll need to find a new avatar first. This one is 2 years old! For shame!
Psss: Yikes! I almost forgot the cake!
