Regardless of party, that we are now represented by the 1% in government, is no different from the nobility of Europe during the start of the United States of America. That the founding fathers warned of such individuals whom have to much power, money, and influence leading the nation towards bad ideas of inequality. I see money in large numbers as a corrupting influence onto people. When there is very little, we tend to have good people doing good things for the nation. Its not the national budget that is the fault here, but the influencing entities whom stand to gain from that budget by having even more money directed back towards them. When that money is used to funnel our tax dollars into the hands of individuals with to much money already, rather than, into the hands of the poor and middle class that it could help. When there is to much influencing things, a small group gets good things and the expense of everyone else. That all the animals are equal, but certain animals are more equal (to paraphrase George Orwell). This sort of stuff is not good for anyone in the 99% of money. Would any of the people running for US President disclose their financial background were it not required by law? To be honest and truthful of their existence? FUCK NO! Until we adjust things so that the middle class has as much of a fair chance of getting into federal office as the rich; we'll never see the 99% being represented at the federal level.
