Jesus was a socialist.....an original, im sure...THE original.

thomtx99 -> RE: I know Global Warming Again (6/19/2015 6:08:31 PM)

Fox news does not reach half the country so that claim is dishonest. It does reach lower educated people - its big in the South.

Most scientists like 95% agree on Global Warming however no matter what we do - India and China will more than offset it.

I like seeing that "polite sub" cursing, angry and insulting the others- funny.

Actually, if you would use your half mind, the topic is global warming. Look and see real quick. And, you've not yet responded to, or acknowledged the link that was posted some posts back.

you may have missed that a user named Aylee made a statement about germany and its energy policy that was based on informations that were incomplete, and I informed her about it and posted a link myself where to see the complete information in the next post

I never called anyone rude so far - and I do not plan to

you might find that the link I posted in my previous message is on topic too

how does this:

quote:

By 2020, the federal government wants to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions compared to 1990 by 40%. According to experts, this is possible only by old coal-fired power plants are shut down gradually.
2014 43% of total gross electricity was produced from coal. This is significantly less than in 1990: Back then came 57% of its electricity from coal and lignite. In recent years, the gross electricity production has increased from coal again: So the power generation from hard coal increased compared to 2009, from 108 to 109 billion kilowatt hours (+ 1%), electricity generation from lignite from 146 to 156 billion kilowatt-hours (7%) ,
Although coal in 2014 continued to be the most important energy source, the importance of renewable energy sources is more and more about: While in 1990 came only 4% of all electricity from renewable energy sources, there were in 2014 already 26%. By contrast, nuclear energy loses its relevance: obtained in 1990 28% of total gross electricity from nuclear energy, the proportion dropped to 16% by 2014.

Have anything to do with this:

quote:

European countries are cutting back their solar subsidies to rein in energy costs and cut debt. The solar industry in Germany, Italy and Spain are all facing huge problems due to subsidy cuts and power rate hikes.

Germany’s planned energy reforms would force industries and households self-generating green energy to pay high surcharges to offset the energy costs of other consumers. Currently, energy-intensive industry have been exempted from green energy taxes so they can remain internationally competitive, meaning households and businesses bear the brunt of the high energy costs.

quote:

The Italian government says solar companies have gotten enough subsidies and will have to live with lower tariffs. But the solar industry warns that subsidy cuts will drive away green energy investments and trigger legal action against the government.

“You can’t penalize operators halfway through their investments; they won’t come back,” said Pietro Colucci, CEO of Kinexia, an Italian-based green energy firm.

quote:

On top of that, Spain didn’t actually appropriate enough money to actually fund all of their green spending, meaning the country took on huge amounts of energy debt — which reached more than $35 billion last July.

Last year, Spain began to dismantle its green energy subsidy system as energy debts grew and the economy continued to lag. New laws were introduced to “achieve an economic and financial stability of the electric system and avoid the incorporation of new costs,” according to the Spanish government.

What I posted above is just briefly skimming the latest headlines

If you have half a mind and you dig just a tiny fraction deeper you will easily discover that the popes communist creds are truly stellar

Oh do tell us Sanity - share the goods on why the Pope's communist credentials are "truly stellar". I'm dying to hear it ...... Please don't keep it a secret - the world deserves to know!

My link above, showing that Castro has been virtually slobbering all over the pope is illuminating

Combine that with the popes call for revolution, and chiming in with all of the other socialist cliches about helping the poor...

He gave Castro a medal for "helping the poor" for example.

Damn... What irony. Only helped make everyone in Cuba who wasnt a part of the ruling elite one of them

Sorry Sanity, a meeting between Castro and the Pope proves absolutely nothing, either in its own or in conjunction with other events irrespective of whether those events are related or not. Pres Truman met Stalin on multiple occasions - does that make Truman a Communist? Or Stalin a democrat? Of course not. Both Castro and the Pope meet lots of other world leaders. The Pope is a hugely popular figure in Spanish-speaking America.

As for "all of the other socialist cliches about helping the poor...": Well one part of the Pope's job is to promote the Christian message and the Gospels, and helping those less fortunate is a central part of those messages. Charity is a perennial theme in Christianity is it not? Christians are supposed to help the poor aren't they?

Your final sentence makes no sense at all (not that the rest of your post is any more sensible) If it is the case that the Pope helped make everyone in Cuba "part of the ruling elite" then the ruling "elite" ceases to be the "elite" (because everyone is in it) and it all becomes very democratic. What could possibly be wrong with that? Do you have a problem with ordinary people being part of the decision making circles?

So you have proved nothing at all, except perhaps that you are ultra paranoid. I'm afraid you will have to do an awful lot better than this sorry effort if you are going to persuade people that "pope's communist credentials are truly stellar" as you claimed

It would indeed be difficult to prove to one such as you anything as you are programmed only to see, hear and think your dogma. So, I wonder why you embarrass yourself with long discourses that are only conjecture to you. Using big emotive words does not make you appear wise. Really, it sounds young, like a girl acting like a big girl.

Jesus fished, and gave from his own catch to the hungry.

I asked for a citation to what you said. Please don't try and deflect from that. You're the first person to always jump in and demand a citation. I'd like you to live up to your expectations of others.

He didnt join up with Caesar and go armed from house to house taking money from people in the form of taxes, so that Caesar could maintain his opulent lifestyle neither
