I am curious to know if any submissive here has ever been prompted to send money to a Mistress who has placed an ad without ever seeing or talking with Her in person.

I know there are those who are called "money slaves," but I am not one of them. However, I have sent gifts to Pro-Dommes who have given me more than just an hour of their time, but have really cared about whether or not the session was good for me. These Dommes are still friends of mine, although in each case, W/we have not seen each other in years. But W/we do still communicate via E-mail.

I don't consider myself to be cheap or petty, but I cannot wrap my head around a request to send money to someone I have seen, talked with by phone, or even chatted with online.

Any comments?

I knew it was about time. There hasn't been a money domme thread in a few days. If you hadn't started this thread, I would have. . . just to kneep it alive you know? I'm now going to go and start a thread on abuse since no one else covered that today.

As I understand addcted2it's question, it's not about professionals in general, just about those who deliver no services other than the the dubious one of extracting money.

As I've mentioned, one of my good friends is a professional escort. She's truly a professional, in every sense of the word. I wish I could afford her more often, but I wouldn't mooch off of her. That's her job, after all.
When I can afford her, it's ecstacy. And she's a great teacher too!
And when I can't afford it, we're still friends, and just do the things that ordinary friends do.

So I'm a big supporter of professionals. But the concept of professionalism includes delivering a service of value to the client. I know the money tribute people will argue that this is such a service. I can only say I respectfully disagree.
