And the way some of these employers have treated their undocumented hirelings, one might have cause to question whether they're being treated like human beings.

Not at all, but when you really think about it, Trump is full of shit no matter what side you take on this matter. Trump knows full well that there's no way logistically possible to stop the problem of illegal border crossings, and he also knows that his cronies in business will suffer major losses if all illegal immigrants employed in the US were suddenly deported.

The only reason for all this rhetoric is vote pandering, and of course, there's the practical effect of keeping illegals isolated and hunted so that they're much easier for employers to control and exploit.


They were enticed when a pandering Obama called them "dreamers" and promised to not deport them

Then followed through with illegal executive orders

They are enticed with sanctuary cities, and deliberately lax border security

And a million other not-so-subtle gestures, such as Obama anointing a "La Raza" (The Racists) Hispanic to the Supreme Court, pandering by Obamas fawning media Grubers etc

Again, this was only to help those who were here already. They were already in the country. Reagan already gave amnesty during his Administration. Illegal immigration also shot up immensely during the Bush (Jr.) Administration.

Security at the border has tightened up, but overall, that's been a problem for both parties all along. It would be blatantly dishonest to try to blame lax border security all on the Democrats.

It's not even entirely a political problem, since it's a long border with rugged terrain - and it's not an easy job to secure it when there's thousands of people determined to cross on a daily basis.

You linked to another post of yours which had a link to some silly show on MTV. I don't know what that has to do with illegal immigration though.

I understand you are just quoting the title of the page of the original website, but whoever created the title (and you by extension) don't think very clearly.

assuming the photo of the tweet is wholly legitimate and complete (not subject to editing or photoshop or cropping), trump did not attack jeb bush for having a Mexican wife.

the title suggests jeb bush is somehow wrong/bad/traitor/whatever for having a wife who is Mexican.

I don't have a problem stopping businesses from hiring illegals. But nobody should be surprised it's going to happen if we don't control the borders. There's no contradiction between having secure borders and open trade. Immigration and trade are two entirely different subjects.

They're not entirely different, since they both tie in to the border. Security is tight, and legal border traffic is delayed by long waits. That can affect trade. There's also checkpoints inside the border which also delays traffic. Trade is also a function of goodwill and trust between countries, and by all this tightened security and referring to an "invasion" across the border, that can undermine that goodwill and trust.

Why yes, it is. And just like any topic about someone in or vying for political office on these boards, others are brought up for comparison.

But, if you want me to address JUST what you said about Trump...Arrogant? Yes. Similar to Harry Reid, though Trump has earned his. Lying? Depends which side you're on as to how big a liar he is but he has a great competitor there...Bill "I did no have sex with that woman" Clinton. Bigoted? Because he told the truth about "undocumented aliens"? One of the just proved how right he in a "sanctuary" city. Because he made a clumsy remark about Jeb Bush's wife? Is he my favorite candidate? Too soon to say. I'll listen to all of them, even from your side, before I make up my mind.

But "Billary"? No. Her roping off reporters is just one of many displays of arrogance. But then, just where DO you start with Hillary?
