Authorities: Gay slur carved into Utah man's arm was staged

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A man who reported someone beat him and carved a homophobic slur into his arm staged the attacks, authorities in rural Utah said Tuesday... The purported attacks began with a beating at his family's pizza business in April that left Jones with head and facial bruising.

Five days later, the family's home was found spray-painted with a homophobic slur. On June 10, a rock and a molotov cocktail were thrown through the window of the home. That same day, the business was spray-painted, broken into and robbed of $1,000.

Jones told KSL-TV earlier this month he believed he was targeted because he is gay. Dekker said prosecutors are considering possible charges including filing a false report and reckless burning.

Black Suspect Arrested After Racist Message Discovered Outside Predominately Black Church

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– A Colorado Springs man was arrested after police believe he left racist messages outside a church. Vincent Broughton, 44, who is black, is facing charges for committed a bias-motivated crime and disorderly conduct.

The signs were posted outside the New Covenant church that is predominately attended by African Americans. One sign references the KKK. Another reads, “Black men beware, you are the target.”

The messages had the congregation on edge. “We locked our doors this morning, so we were inside, but it shouldn’t be that way. You shouldn’t have to lock your doors in the church, it’s just… I’m speechless,” said Pastor Roland Joyner.

This shit isn't helping.

It boils down to the constitution:

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of [government approved] religion, abridging the freedom of speech [provided no one is offended], infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting ...

While either individual could claim a 1st amendment defense, I really doubt they will be successful. Neither is a 1st amendment issue. Even a public defender will try to persuade their client from making a fool-hardy proposal in court as a defense.

There is a metaphor here to being poor. That many people are poor, but folks like you, Kirata, would find the one individual whom is abusing the system when they easily have resources from other areas. But that you dont stop there, but simply assume the same sort of 'identity' (for lack of a better wording) is common across everyone that is poor. Even though in reality, that one person is in the tiny minority of the 1-2% of the total population. An the rest of the poor really could use the programs given their situation is honestly 'fucked'.

This stuff also undermines both the gay and black communities who may have legitimate reasons to being upset when something like this is done to them. That people will associate the the legitimate issue for the fake one that took place as justification to do nothing (and thus, allow the problem to grow further).

An yet the part your quoting does not mention 'paranoid schizophrenia' like a dumb ass!

You bitch at me about the 'English language', and yet you didnt identify the correct paragraph! Because if you did, and stated the above bullshit, would mean your taking things out of context to make an argument. To which, I would easily (yet again) nail your bullshit down.

After which, you'll swing blindly, not realizing you should have just stayed down. Really Kirata, must we play out the same chess moves again and again? You got fools-mated originally. Every combination you have tried has given you the same result (in fact your doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result). Try advancing another piece when the queen moves to King's Rook 5 (perhaps the knight that starts at King's Knight 8 and attack the queen).

The first filed a false police report, not covered by free speech.
The second was a racist act attempting to incite hostility against whites based on race. If the perpetrator were white this is what you would call a hate crime.

I wondered about this, remembering how the Clinton people cooked the books to make it seem that there was a widespread attack on black churches.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Ja, no. since it is proceeded by 'one individual', therefore a 'him' . you would find him (one individual) whom...

The topic of the thread is not "The English Language". Therefore your argument is invalid!

Because if we start requiring posters to give realistic and good posts; you couldn't post anything on here! Before you become a Grammar Nazi, realize, I could become 'intellectual accountability' police. So without having to say anything prior, we agreed on things for better or worst.

That was my point. However, if you are accused of a crime, you can defend however you want. That includes not taking the advice of legal counsel. If those two wish to defend using the 1st amendment right, that's their choice. Most likely they'll spend 30 years thinking about in prison!

my main point was about you insulting aylee without justification and as a metaphor is a component of the English language, and you are the one who brought it up, you might want to think twice about your "your argument is invalid" position.

as to what else you wrote, blustering and rationalizing don't help your case at all...

that said---I do realize the point about "who" and "whom" is a small one---and if you weren't constantly being the pretentious, insulting and insufferable partisan hack you are, I probably wouldn't be raising a peep about it. call it an immature dig on my part.
