I don't really care what hobbies a person has. I've never cared and I don't enjoy discussing my interests. I find it completely tedious and uninteresting to discuss.
I know that comes across quite harsh, but it's true. It took me a long time to realise that I don't enjoy it, because it's always so assumed that people want to talk about their interests, or ask other people about theirs.
The fastest way to bore me out of a conversation is to ask what kind of things I like to do, or to wait for me to ask you. It will never happen. I couldn't give two hoots. Whatever you do, I will find it utterly boring and have no interest in it whatsoever. If you ask me, I'll probably just brush it off or change the subject.
I find it much more interesting to discuss kinks or ideas. If you ask me what I think about something, that is a ripe topic for discussion. If you ask why I think a certain way or what led me to think that, I am happy to explain. If you want to discuss your opinion on something, I'm totally up for it.
I'd always find it a complete conversation killer when I'd be trying to figure out if a Dom was compatible for me, and they'd be trying to discuss hobbies. I couldn't give two f*cks whether you prefer swimming or cycling, but your opinion on kink? That matters a lot.
