It's come to my attention that many do not know what the treaty is that is in the news. That Kerry and many others have been working for months to create and finalize. That misinformation from the '24/7/365' propaganda machine in the conservative ideology area has done a good job in keeping the American people in the dark about our government.

It took me some time to hunt down the actual 159 page document. Reading through its pretty easy to understand the terms. Iran stands to loose more than they gain by screwing with the treaty. Which will hopefully motivate their moderates to keep the hardliners in-line and contained. Now all we have to do in the United States, is keep our hardliners in-line from their saber rattling rantings (i.e. Scott Walker).

The Treaty

According to a CNN/ORC Poll...

44% of respondents say they want the deal, while 52% say to regect it.

To which I ask a question: How many of those polled were asked "Have you read the treaty?"?

I think its safe to say 99% will answer 'no'.

I even asked on here. How many of you have read the treaty? NONE

So your all arguing from a place of total ignorance!

Its 159 pages. Not that monster of 2409 pages called "The Affordable Care Act". That one has been around for five years, so none of you have an excuse for not reading through it and understanding, either! The last 30-40 pages is simply names of people and organizations (why are they on there?) and charts. It's a curious document. How often have we on this discussion forum read an actual treaty?

Take the names and charts out, condense the whole thing, and its like 10 pages long. That most of you get into arguments that span five to twenty pages; REALLY, have no excuse for why you have not read the treaty. It is really easy to read and understand. It explains the terms and conditions of all parties. It explains what happens should one party 'fuck around' (i.e. Iran). Frankly with this treaty, Iran stands to lose many things.

An yes, the world's intelligence groups will watch Iran either way.

I had always assumed that islamist was a general term for people who promote a hard-line interpretation and application of Islam. I've not seen anything that argues that "Islamist" is a Sunni term.

You never will, either.

Sorry, but she's the one who laid out the rational explanation.

Fun to see you take her bloviating over credible cited references

Allegedly "credible" as merely stated by you without substantiation.

There's a word for that -- opinion.

Opinion... [:D]

I provided a link to the Webster definition as well as google other sources

Its you and your partner tweaka who relying on opinion (erroneous opinion, at that) over established fact despite being repeatedly corrected [;)]

Sen. Cotton, eh? Same moron that thought to educate the Iranian diplomats on how our form of laws operate? Complaining to Mr. Kerry?

Either Sen. Cotton understands how diplomacy works in foreign policy and he's being intellectually dishonest towards people like you. Or he's an idiot for not understanding why stuff like this should not be brought up for consumption by people that don't know shit of what they speak on. Like you! So either Sen. Cotton is dishonest or an idiot.....

I'm going to go with 'idiot' given his 'impressive' foreign policy track record to date....

Did you read the last line of the article:

"Kerry said that members of Congress would be able to learn about it in a classified briefing."

Why are we giving a classified briefing to members of Congress of the secrets Sen. Cotton is trying to insinuate as a conspiracy? Why not just have it all out on the table?

Have you read the treaty and understood it? Because the information Mr. Kerry would likely present is in direct connection to the understanding of that document. 99% of Americans have neither read nor understood the treaty. So how would they possibly understand the information coming from Mr. Kerry in context?

Its like trying to explain why so many cool characters die in the HBO show: Game of Thrones, to someone that's neither read nor watched the material. Or why certain 'asshole' characters lived as long as they did.

I understand why Mr. Kerry can not openly state things. I read the treaty. I understand the treaty. Mr. Kerry is bound by laws in some cases NOT to reveal things. This was the same for Collin Powell years before. An true before both of them!

Kerry is the subject of the post

Kerry, saying that the American public cannot know the entirety of what he and Obama are agreeing to

You have gone on and on in this thread about how so few have read the agreement. Guess what this video of Kerry establishes?

FR

Leftists keep telling us that we can trust the Iranians

Heres what these trustworthy people are saying about the deal

quote:

Iran: Obama Admin Lying About Nuclear Deal for ‘Domestic Consumption’
U.S. downplays Iranian victory to ‘soothe’ fear over deal

Senior Iranian officials are accusing the Obama administration of lying about the details of the recent nuclear accord in order to soothe fears among U.S. lawmakers and Americans about the implications of the deal, which will release billions of dollars to the Islamic Republic while temporarily freezing its nuclear program, according to reports from Iran’s state-controlled media.

As Secretary of State John Kerry and other senior Obama administration figures launch a full-court press to convince Congress to approve the deal, Iranian leaders are dismissing the rhetoric as “aimed at domestic consumption.”

Kerry and other top administration officials have been defending the deal on Capitol Hill in recent days, claiming that it will rein in the Islamic Republic’s contested nuclear program and fix its nuclear “breakout” period, the time required for it to obtain the amount of highly enriched uranium necessary for a nuclear weapon, at one year.

Critics have noted that the deal provides Iran with billions of dollars in sanctions relief that could be spent on terrorism and lifts bans on Iran’s export of weapons and construction of ballistic missiles.

When addressing claims this week by the administration that the deal shuts down Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure, Iranian officials scoffed and said that the Obama administration is misleading the public in order to sell the deal.

Hamid Baeidinejad, an official in the Iranian foreign ministry and one of the country’s nuclear negotiators, scoffed on Wednesday at the Obama administration’s comments, saying that they were meant to placate an American domestic audience.

“The remarks by the western officials are ambiguous comments which are merely uttered for domestic use and therefore we should say that there is no ambiguity in this (nuclear) agreement,” the Fars news agency quoted Baeidinejad saying in an interview with state-controlled radio.

Baeidinejad said that the Obama administration is misleading Americans about the deal in order to “calm opponents in the Congress and Zionist lobbies to soothe the internal conditions prevailing over debates on the nuclear agreement in that country,” Fars, which is also run by the Iranian state, reported.

MrRodgers -> RE: The Iran Deal (7/30/2015 2:58:14 PM)

Nowhere have I read specifically how the American people are being mislead.

Furthermore, after 8 years of non-action from W and 6 years of vertical repub political disregard, the Iranians knew yes...knew that America was not going to war with Iran over nukes.

Logic dictates that for 8 fucking years, the right didn't give a damn about Iran going for the bomb.

Conclusion: We are here to make some fucking money, cause any re-arrangement in the geopolitics, make war and the profits, sit back and watch it on CNN and laugh all of the way to the bank and closer to the NWO.
