How do I get my picture as a forum avatar? I assumed it was simple and I went to the forum profile page and looked under the section on uploading pictures. I see no way to upload. I only see places to click saying "use my profile picture." I did that- clicked apply- and nothing.
It's 1:30 am so I'm guessing the answer is in front of my tired eyes.

Maybe someone could embarrass me by pointing out where the obvious answer is?

Go to your profile. Your primary profile photo becomes your avatar for the forums.

That's what I thought but it's not happening.

Edit....I assume you mean my profile on the forum page? I've clicked what should be clicked and I hit "apply" and nothing happened.

I'm going to bed. I'll probably delete my account in the morning after I wake up and see 76467798776554435 more idiotic messages like the ones I'm getting now. Good grief.

Give it some time. Sometimes pictures don't appear for awhile.

You need to click the link to upload. Then, once uploaded, OK or Apply.

Oh for Pete's sakes. Last night in bed with my little phone screen and my tired eyes I didn't see those were links to be clicked. I woke up this morning and looked again and then thought to myself "Duh what an idiot I am." To think I just graduated with degree in mathematics.

I had the same question and being a bit of a Luddite could not find how to even edit my profile over here! Finally, managed and discover my main profile pic was too big and had to resize it.

I have no idea how to do that on the phone, but the Avatar area click on the use pic and it will give up an upload page. Pray it does not need to be resized, or grab the nearest 12 year old (please do not flag me for underage. I mean stictly for technical assistance), you should be good to go
