ORIGINAL: NYCLeatherFem "Grain of Salt" reading No one's ideology should be given the power to dictate, determine, nor label another's relationship based on their own interpretation, which is what I believe the article attempted to do. It is "someone's" perception of what those labels, titles & levels, define, for "them". I would offer to those who are seeking a more definitive construct, your focus be placed on reading material or group discussion that does not revolve around quantification, but rather, seek information in which the emphasis is placed on quality of participation. I agree completely with the entire subject of labels. I think the best thing to take from the "9 levels of submission" is that not every submissive is going to be the same, want the same, act the same, etc. -- and so don't expect to be like the others you meet, online or real time, and be happy with the submissive/slave that you are and/or hope to become! I more like to think that submissives are like snowflakes -- no two are alike. (At least no two that I have met anyway, lol.) 9 levels?? Such a small number for all the possibilities!! harmony P.S. Is there an article listing the "9 Levels of Dominants" anywhere?
