Read the letter please.

Seems journalistic people are getting fed up with being stonewalled. Not good for Obama

Sounds good. I'm all for greater transparency in government. I'm a bit curious as to why journalists waited this long to demand transparency in government, when they should have been writing letters like this 60-70 years ago. But, better late than never, I guess.

Eh? They've been doing it for at least six fucking years...

Transparency Watch: A Closed Door
White House reporters afraid to criticize the White House
President Obama's muddy transparency record
The Obama Administration and the Press

Where was this outrage in the 8 years before that?

Why should there have been outrage? Can you show an instance of Bush promising the "most open...most transparent...administration" ever?

I don't think Bush demanded questions turned in in advance.
But even if he did saying that means we shouldn't put an end is once again invoking the OJ rule.

Aw c'mon, everybody knows that all our major media outlets from MSNBC to the NY Times are just racist Republican shills.

The more time spent criticizing Obama, the more they can ignore or downplay any criticism of Hillary

Lucylastic -> RE: Journalists are turing against Obama (8/12/2015 11:09:34 PM)

Its mostly the left that is making plenty of noise, nyt comes to mind .wa po, nbc.and shes playing it close to her chest and its pissing people off left n right.
How dare she.
Meanwhile th tsunami of bullshit is over and no one wants to talk about the fact that it was the most watched american clusterfuck in history.
Obama is used to being slammed. So is Hillary.
Ken.....
I trust your sources bias as far as i can throw a tank.
Im gonna find a different source.

MrRodgers -> RE: Journalists are turing against Obama (8/12/2015 11:17:09 PM)

Yes, Obama has been a disappointment but I still give Bush the edge. To wit:

In the years after 9/11, the Bush administration embraced a series of policies, including torture, surveillance of private communications, and restrictions on the writ of habeas corpus, that undermined the fundamental American values of individual dignity, personal privacy and due process of law. Its most dangerous policy, though, was its attempt to hide its decisions from the American public.

In an effort to evade the constraints of separation of powers, judicial review, checks and balances and democratic accountability, the Bush administration systematically hid its actions from public view. It promulgated its policies in secret, denied information to Congress, abused the process for classifying information, narrowly interpreted the Freedom of Information Act, punished government whistle-blowers, jailed journalists for refusing to disclose confidential sources, threatened to prosecute the press for revealing secret programs, and broadly invoked the state secrets doctrine to prevent both Congress and the courts from evaluating the lawfulness of its programs.

Now of course, I feel for both of them although Bush less, because presidents do what they need to do...to stay alive.

I believe the letter no matter the source but as I've so often written, the dems are corrupt but they're still amateurs, while the repubs are real pros at this stuff. (see above and that 'ain't' all folks)

Yeah, damn right. All you have to do is read thing to know it's a lie from start to finish. Just try, just try to find a different source! You might, maybe, but it won't be easy so I'm going to give you some help. If you look really really close, and maybe squint a little, you'll find a link to the letter (on the website of the Society of Professional Journalists) sneakily underlined at the top of the third paragraph, and an embedded copy at the bottom of the page for the click-challenged. There ya go! You're welcome.

GoodForDaddy -> RE: Journalists are turing against Obama (8/12/2015 11:42:34 PM)

Well done and well said. Obama is a 'walk-in' (look it up). He's not in possession of any of the salient facts regarding the secret government. He has fallen in line with the industrial / banking NWO overlords and cannot seem to apply leverage to gain approval for social democracy. Nobody, not even an idealist, can win over the black hearts of the controllers who oversee NWO, FEMA, the anti-gun movement and Patriot Act.
Wake up America! You are already living in a non democratic police state where microchipping, false flag operations and dirty tricks have overpowered the few good men trying to fight oppression. The police are out of control (see black murder by police statistics) race hatred is rife and endemic/institutionalised. Once the government has invoked martial law they will take your guns and you will be powerless in a country that has no freedom of speech movement or rights to protest.

Ah well, I'm resigned to the fact that the world is full of takers. Still, let it be said, there are the special few.

Make the check out to cash. [:)]
