Jeb Bush’s ghostwriter
Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush wants to increase American influence in Syria to fight ISIS. However, when it comes to Iraq, Jeb Bush’s plan sounds a lot like President Obama’s. Duration: 1:05

Jeb....WHO?

cloudboy -> RE: Jebs Iraq plan (9/3/2015 6:47:40 PM)

Somewhat off topic, but Bill Maher had a graphic showing something like 4.5 million troops in the armed forces of the Arab World, and he wondered why these Middle Eastern countries could not stop ISIS, a force of 20,000.

The USA generally does not do well when it meddles. What it leaves behind is not really much of an improvement. What's startling is how few Americans realize this poor record.

When we get pulled into something, the results can be different: WWII, Gulf War, and Yugoslavia.

One thing that irritates me is how "Patriotic" Republicans claim to be -- and they also always say "We live in the Greatest Country in the World."

^^^ But neither of these two claims stops them from ALWAYS trying to undermine the President of United States (Health Care, Immigration, Needle Exchanges, and the IRAN Accord.) It's a little bit like praising your wife before treating her like a pinata.

Twenty thousand men is a reinforced division. I remain unconvinced that a reinforced division could carry out these disparate operations over these large expanses of real estate. Ten might do but one not likely. Still 4.5 million would make a sizeable scrum.

or the 4.5 million's leaders don't have the will to fight.

I don't know if the numbers are accurate -- it was from Bill Maher, but I think he checks his facts.

Guerrilla warfare, as we all know, is quite hard to defeat. You can't identify the enemy. You don't want to kill civilians.

right, because "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" only works when the president is a republican.

and "ALWAYS?"---sorry, youre not omniscient or omnipresent, so you cant say that. it doesn't even work as hyperbole.

it appears the only way to be kosher in your social/political worldview is to go along and get along with whatever liberals decide.

how about enough your idiotic partisan hacking already? every time you do it you look like a fool.

Then they need to set a date for the parade for the new king.

The 20-30 thousand number comes from the CIA. My numbers come from 27 years of practice in that particular field of endeavor.
