Why don't Republicans spend any energy on solving the USA's domestic problems?

(1) Infrastructure
(2) Misguided Drug War
(3) Income inequality
(4) Blighted Cities
(5) Responsible budgeting

I read this today:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/bs-md-rodricks-0820-20150819-column.html

We can only imagine Trump's response. We have a state of emergency in Ferguson, riots in BALTO, and declining investment in the USA's infrastructure and cities and the greatest income disparities since the Gilded Age. Why then focus so much on ISIS (a remote problem 1000 of miles away), opposing gay marriage, and deporting undocumented workers?

They will don’t worry… They just need to end the government pick pocketing their hard earned dollars with taxes…as soon as they fight a few more wars in the middle east…as soon as the kick the feds from state business… as soon as they make it possible for Christians to not have to bake cakes for queers… as soon as they change this to a Christian Nation… as soon as every man woman and child has a gun…as soon as the get rid of all the freeloaders on welfare…as soon as they make women have babies…even if they cannot support them…

Hell man where are your PRIORITIES.

Butch

You think your lot are bad - check out our version of the GOP!

On one the sunniest countries in the world, with the most precarious environment, our GOP is:
* actively opposing renewable energy such as solar and heavily promoting coal and nuclear energy;
* eroding our rights in the name of security against an enemy thousands of miles away (who wouldn't bother us unless we were actively interfering in their land as we are);
* resolutely opposing marriage equality;
* dismantling environmental safeguards because they get in the way of even more coal mines;
* demonising destitute refugees fleeing wars in their native countries (caused by, among other things, our sending our Army there to "sort things out");
* trashing our reputation for human rights - we used to be a world leader, now we are the benchmark for pushback to demote human rights;
* presiding over the greatest income inequality in our history and exacerbating it .......

I could go on but you get the picture I'm sure. People tell me Canada is suffering similar problems with their version of the GOP. 21st century countries driven backwards by a bunch of deluded old white men still living in the 1950s.

If you want to go backwards, you know how to vote .......

John Kasich is the most adult of the bunch, and as such, he won't win the nomination.

the problem with Canada's politicians (Liberals & Conservatives, primarily) is that they are too tied to the way the US does things.. they need to grow some f'n balls and tell the corrupt greedy corporate controlled US govt to FO and stop telling Canada and the world how to do things.. actually, all politicians around the world need to grow some balls and tell the US that.. The US wants to exert control other countries by using the banking/financial system and blacklisting countries that wont do things the US way, doing things the US way is why the world suffered so much with the last/present recession/depression.. Imo, other countries should look at how the US does things and do the exact opposite..

No NO no Harper is the perfect man to run canada.
scum bag tory is the same as every other fucking conservative leader and politican running on values, of hate, discrimination, (well we have had gay marriage for ten years) poisoning the country, selling off lands and waters to the corporations who have paid under and over and thru for their dicks to be sucked by him and his cohorts
Not that the libs are any better, all sucking corporate dick and sticking the taxpayer with the fuck ups and corruption costs.
WE have an election in september.... If he doesnt go, we may well be having riots here.

Not that anyone cares about canuck politics but to get back to the US.

the poor get poorer, the rich get richer and people still getting killed by militarised cops, drug war is a complete failure and putting more people in jail marijuana, or for mental health issues, yet letting the obvious crazies yell about their rights to be hateful ignorant bigots because their man in the sky said they were truly righteous to be discriminatory.
Cutting welfare, housing, foodstamps, vet care, womens health....and wonder why no one can take them seriously. Pissed at the #BLM movement for making them take notice of the issue of racism, and denying that their society is still fucked saying its just their(minorities) attitude that needs to change.
