Roe V Wade basically gave women the right to have an abortion without the permission of the fetas's father, the woman's legal guardian/parent (if underage), cause of pregnancy or medical necessity.

Ohhh such an outrage! Wade vs Roe gave women a measure of control over their own lives bodies and fertility. Women can actually take decisions for themselves! How dare they?

Womens' fertility is one of the few areas that aren't controlled by men. And that, from the perspective of the KenDickeys and Sanitys of this world, is the problem in a nutshell. That's why the looney Right us hell bent on destroying organisations such as PP that facilitate women controlling their own reproductivity.

A woman's options to control her "reproductivity" only exist until she becomes pregnant. At that point, whether she wanted the pregnancy or failed to prevent it, that new developing life is a separate life, and one carrying the genes of its father too. It's not just about her anymore. The only thing to be decided is at what point the interests of others (including the unborn) rise to challenge her own. In Finland, that's at 24 weeks; in Sweden, at 18; in France, Germany, and Denmark at 12 weeks. Also noteworthy is the fact that women vote in those countries. Presumably they are full of loonies.

A woman who is pregnant isn't alone in her decision about her reproductive rights. There is a father to consider who has a stake in what happens with his child.

Women who want sole control over their reproduction can have this prior to getting pregnant, after she gets pregnant, a father's choice should weigh as heavily as her own.

Currently women can deny a father his child, solely by her own decision, yet men aren't granted the same privileged of deciding whether or not they wish to be parents. As long as men aren't permitted to choose to have a child (and solely bear all the responsibilities that come with it) that the woman doesn't want, they shouldn't be obligated to pay for children they didn't choose to have. With the modern technology available, parenthood should be a choice for both genders, not an obligation trusted on either.

Most women according to the guttmacher institute do consider the fathers wants. Even when the decision IS to have an abortion.
I agree it should weigh heavily on her mind, and 90% of the time is.
THey can actually go thru a process of financial abortion. The RIGHT to one maybe in the cards for the future, however, it is seen that the CHILDs right to parental support.

HOwever it is non constitutional for a man to have control over a womans body.

How about we take better care of the children that have been born? Maybe make living conditions better for the single working or unemployed women that rely on the services provided by Planned Parenthood so that abortion isn't their only option?

Don't you think that is a rather liberal approach?
