It's not really business as usual though is it? Whatever intel is around now, good or bad, hasn't led to an invasion of another country which cost 100,000's of lives, many of them American, many (fewer obviously) British.
The gaping holes in power, and the hatred created by said invasion might have something to with the rise of a certain group that you are not too keen on.
