FR It's interesting that the official name is just "Denali," not "Mount Denali" or "Denali Mountain." Apparently, it translates as "the great one." I wonder if that's what Mrs. McKinley said when she would mount McKinley.

It's not working. I blame the Unions and other communists etc. :-( Just to add: Everest has both an international and at least two local names - Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet. All parties seem to be fairly happy with the arrangement. It doesn't matter.
