It was actually never President Obama's 'thing'. You don't like the sequestration? Go blame the Republican/Tea Party. They are the ones that came up with the details and then failed on the process!

Try getting the facts straight on your bullshit!

How many threads does this make now? In which you tried to blame the President, yet the facts shows the GOP/TP as being mostly if not totally at fault? Like seventeen within the last year?

how about the next planned shutdown Ken??

WASHINGTON -- A group of 28 House Republican lawmakers, all men, are pledging to do everything in their power to defund Planned Parenthood this fall, even it means shutting down the federal government in protest.

In a letter circulated this summer by Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.), the congressmen pledged to vote against any bill that funds the federal government if it includes money for Planned Parenthood. Congress must fund the government by Sept. 30 to avoid a shutdown.

"We must act to fully defund Planned Parenthood," the letter says. "Please know that we cannot and will not support any funding resolution – an appropriations bill, an omnibus package, a continuing resolution, or otherwise – that contains any funding for Planned Parenthood, including mandatory funding streams."

The lawmakers cited a series of heavily edited undercover videos that show Planned Parenthood doctors discussing the donation of fetal tissue for medical research after abortions. The anti-abortion group that circulated the videos claims that the family planning provider is selling fetal parts for profit, although multiple state investigations into that claim have come up with nothing.

Planned Parenthood receives about $500 million in government funding, mostly through Medicaid and a federal family planning program. The money is used to subsidize birth control, cancer screenings and other women's health services. The longstanding Hyde Amendment prevents any federal funds from being used to pay for abortions, but Republicans have been trying to defund Planned Parenthood over its abortion services since 2011.

The current fight over Planned Parenthood funding has divided the GOP. While Republican leaders in the House and Senate are hoping to avoid a government shutdown over Planned Parenthood funding -- because the GOP would likely absorb most of the blame for it -- the conservative voices in both chambers are growing louder. As Mulvaney's letter continues to gain signatures, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is leading the effort on the Senate side to hold up the must-pass federal budget bill in a bid to defund the family planning provider.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) waved the white flag on the Planned Parenthood fight last week, conceding that Republicans don't have the votes to defund the organization this year. But if enough Republicans sign on to Mulvaney's pledge and stand their ground in the fall, the House could potentially stall the government funding bill on its own.

"If we shut down government, it will be because you have willful Republicans who are prepared to take the government hostage to attain their ends," House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) told reporters on Tuesday. "It will not be a stumble; it will be a considered objective, and a number of them have said so publicly."

The 28 Republicans threatening a shutdown are Reps. Mulvaney, Jim Jordan (Ohio), John Fleming (La.), Raúl Labrador (Idaho), Matt Salmon (Ariz.), Tim Huelskamp (Kan.), Jeff Duncan (S.C.), Thomas Massie (Ky.), Trey Gowdy (S.C.), Walter Jones (N.C.), Curt Clawson (Fla.), Jim Bridenstine (Okla.), Keith Rothfus (Pa.), Randy Weber (Texas), Scott Perry (Pa.), Steven Pearce (N.M.), Trent Franks (Ariz.), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Ted Yoho (Fla.), Jody Hice (Ga.), David Rouzer (N.C.), Dave Brat (Va.), Mark Meadows (N.C.), Scott DesJarlais (Tenn.), Mark Walker (N.C.), Brian Babin (Texas), David Schweikert (Ariz.), and Trent Kelly (Miss.).

WOW....

You....REALLY....have no fucking clue what your babbling about.....

1. If you had read my link, it would have given you the back story. Maybe you should start there!
2 . The Press Secretary if you were....LISTENING....stated the White House had looked into it. Since it was a matter of important discussion in....2013....I would expect the White House to have looked into the chain of events quite closely.

Its funny that you try to find.....anything.....to attack President Obama on, yet, are completely silent on all the stuff the GOP/TP does; why is that? In reality right now, Mr. Trump, Sen. Cruz, and Mrs. Palin have come out against the Iran Treaty. To which I ask the question: Which of those three could ace the exam if one was given with the Iran Deal as the topic? What percentage of their supporters could get a 'D-' on the exam?

Then to ask: "Why are conservative supporters of these three morons so uninformed of the Iran Treaty? The document has been out for quite a while now. You can't hold your political beliefs or the beliefs of those you support to any level of real accountability and responsibility with power. If you were to hold the GOP/TP to the same level as you bash the Democrats; we'd have better government overnight!

I recall back during the partial shut down, led by Tea Party favorite: Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. He was demanding the ACA be removed. That was before most Americans found the law to actually be quite good and wish more improvements upon it. Yes, the Senator from Texas was demanding a law be removed for a budget deal to be reached.

So I asked the conservatives and libertarians on this very board a question:

Lets say things were reversed. That the Democrats controlled the House, and Republicans the White House. The Democrats shut down the government demanding one law be removed before a budget deal could be reached. And what was that law? Removing the 2nd amendment from the books.

How many conservatives and libertarians agreed to the deal? Not a single one! In other words, they all proved their were hypocrites.

There is an old saying: LEARN HISTORY, ELSE REPEAT HISTORY.

I tell those 28 House 'moronic' Republicans to 'Go For it!'. Shut down the government over PPH. Watch many of those red states suddenly turn purple. And those purple states go 'full on blue'! in the next election. Those Republicans will be handing Democrats easy wins that cut down on the 'waste' in the US House of Representatives and the Senate.

So all the other evidence presented to you is a lie?

It's a childish game anyone can play.

Here's a tip: Congress passed the sequester. The Republican Congress. The one not exactly known for bending to Obama's will.

What they want is to not spend any money yet blame others for not doing it.

Shame on you for falling for it.

I seem to recall a press secretary telling the journalists that Iraq had 'massive stockpiles' of 'weapons of mass destruction'.

Where were all the conservatives and libertarians in holding that person accountable I wonder? Oh that's right, eating up every spoonful of bullshit and hoping their is enough left for for another helping or two.....

The President could take credit for several reasons:

1 ) The Dow is currently over twice what it started in 2008
2 ) The nation went from a possibly ugly economic depression to a stable bull market
3 ) Unemployment is the best this nation has experienced in a very long time
4 ) His office, nor the Congressional Democrats were responsible for the fuck ups that took place on the budgets

If you were to objectively analyze your political party closely, you would find I'm correct. Your party fucked up at several points in each year since 2011. One would think the GOP/TP would learn from its mistakes. But because they have no fear of someone like you growing a brain and learning how to use it correctly; they don't have to spend time learning themselves. To bad you do not know how to hold your own politics responsibility....

In fact, if the GOP/TP was 'on the ball', it would have solved the immigration problem. Not only that but had funding for a wall along the southern part of the United States for five years. They pissed away opportunity by not thinking. A trait that seems to be quite common among the GOP/TP.....

The Sequester failed in 2013 due to the GOP/TP's problems. According to a 'democrat' named House Speaker Boehner "We could not decide over 2% of the budget". Meaning they (the GOP/TP) couldn't figure out how to deal with 2% of the overall budget. By their own stupidity, the whole thing failed, rather than biting the bullet on that 2%.....

Which cost this nation's credit rating to decrease from AAA to AA. Yes, to KenDckey that means absolutely nothing given his 'amazing' understanding of economics at the macro level. To those that understand, it was a stupid error on the GOP/TP's part. And the rest of the nation would eat that lost in their checkbooks for the next two years!
