Ya know the type...know so damn much you cant tell em shit? Their way is the "one twue way". All their kinks are right and everyone elses is wrong. they organize munches so they are masters of the universe...those type people... idiots. sorry, just venting.

Nah, those people dont bother me..but then again no one has ever really corrected my grammer here. They know Im lazy and abbv. a lot of things. lol

I've met a disproportionate amount of ego driven personalities on the scene. Saying that, I think the majority of munch runners do this simply because they are confident enough to run a happy gathering of like minded folk. A good munch organizer is giving something to the community whilst remaining friendly and welcoming. I have met my share of aggressively defensive munch runners where the munch becomes about their own self importance rather than the gathering itself. Personally I think that people who feel the need to show authority, shouldn't be people running munches because this type of person has a tendency to use 'HIS' gathering as a platform for self promotion and anyone who bothers to turn up isn't seen as a contributor but HIS/HER audience.

Bearing in mind the Socratic idea that "The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing," one could argue that the very concept that they know it all and are not open to education clearly prevents them from being 'smart' at all. But yeah, I know those folk. (Chortles-read em on comments all the time, especially political type forums) Sometimes they piss me off. Usually, if I'm in a good mental spot, I try to take the next emotional step, ask myself why they need so badly to be right And then feel pity for such insecure and uncertain people...as I vamanos away from their toxic selves as quickly as possible

Re grammer/grammar. I have seen the term grammerie used in old books to refer to witchcraft. Although looking it up, apparently the term gramercy is more common.
