Status: offline 		I am not saying you are wrong in your story... only that the person at the center was and is not a viable candidate...or at least one that has not been in the news. And news of candidates in Ferguson would be reported here... Ferguson is still our number one story in the area.

There truly are responsible leaders in Ferguson... but they are not throwing rocks and blocking traffic.. They ran for public office and were elected... they are on committees making a difference... not spewing hate and discourse.

Status: offline 		As you well know the whole city council was not up for reelection. The cite I posted for you gave the womans name who told everyone she was running in the next council election for the express purpose of fixing tbe issues with the cops. The article indicates she was targeted and arrested and that the cops in violation of a court order tried to confiscate all of the cameras.

In fact, many would require the backing of a GOP-controlled Missouri General Assembly that almost certainly will be hostile to some of the suggestions — especially expanding Medicaid or raising the minimum wage. Republicans may also balk at some of the law enforcement proposals — especially when they didn't adopt some of them during the last legislative session.

Status: offline 		There is no election this year... and anyone can say they are running...and the police department is now run by an African American under new mandates from the NEW freely elected council of representatives elected by the people of Ferguson.

Status: offline 		Three new six total...three blacks and three whites altogether plus the Mayor who is white... One of the white councilmen ran on a pro protester ticket and was elected.

Two attempts were made to recall the mayor...both failed.

Status: offline 		So we do not have a whole new city council but instead three new faces and four of the old guard. I can see a lot of progress being made.

Three new guys and four of the old guard. Why do we presume that the old guard black guy is now on the other side?is it because he is black so he must be just like the black cop must favor blacks over cops? Remember the video we watched where the cop took the stun gun and placed it next to the dead body of his murder victim with a black cop wathching?

The last race riot in st louis was in 1960. They had a commission just like this one. The old guard were the ones who brought the doj to fergustan in the first place by extorting the decendents of slaves out of 2 million dollars a year...why would they change?

American President is black. And his President by popular vote as well.

So I would say, it's already there.

There will always be minorities who will always be racist, but I think the vote speaks volumes that majority can still make a decision beyond skin colour.

I mean, the fight against corrupted law enforcement is still work in progress, but I believe most cops are colour blind.

And the baddies are being punished when found out.

Technically, there isn't like any kind of epidemic, AS IF there is a specifically black persecution or something by the police department.
