Not that there's anything WRONG with that, but has anyone else noticed the unusually large supply of male Switches coming in of late?

I'm sure someone else has noticed it.

Someone else has also noticed that Batman is real, Americans never went to the moon and that Elvis is still alive.

Seriously though, I don't quite get it.

Yours,

benji

Shrugs, being a switch and new means you think you can get pussy on either side of the slash.

It's more about being an opportunist.

I have had a few male sub friends recently put up switch profiles... when I asked why since I know they are sub....they said sometimes its so hard to find a Domme that sometimes they just feel the need to be with a kinky woman and sometimes its easier to find a sub....

That sure makes sense to me.....wished I was a switch. It seems the only interest I get is from the Pros. They're getting kinda sneaky too...start out like they're interested.....get ya all worked up...then remind you that they have just turned pro...or some bs like that. Sorry for the rant...just had another Pro waste my time the last few days. Ya...switch would be nice......

I find it odd that many have been approached by pros.  That has only happened to me once, and that was by one I had met at a munch and spent a lot of time chatting with.  I hva enever scened with a pro, have no desire to, that is in a pro capacity.  I know several, party with a few.  A very good friend is trying to turn pro.  It's a different lifestyle, prodomming from a D/s.  Maybe it's the profiles, could be you are projecting that of a fetishistm (which is the reason for the pro's exsistence.) instead of a lifestyler.

That is very possible....I do have some fetishs and make no bones about it either. Still learning and trying to figure a few things out and as soon as I do, a profile update will be in order. Nothing against Pros at all.....my first and only experience was with a pro...and a damn good one ta boot....I thank her! I sought her out (the pro). What gets me is the way the last few Pros have snuck up on me....very deceptive in their words..than Bam! I don't like deception so it pissed me off is all......

Well send 'em my way!  I need a slave-leaning male switch to fit my dominant-leaning switch tendencies, and to help me in serving the Kaptin's needs.

I have been told by some that this gives them a chance to choose whom they  submit to and also some of the pleasure of turn around time.

I love switches.  I think it's because I like to see them be so dominant and aggressive with someone else, and then come to Me on their knees.

I don't think it's opportunistic to be a switch.  Switches feel the pull from both ends of the spectrum and have every right to express and experience both sides of their nature.

I do think it's opportunistic when the motivating factor is not desire to do both D and s, but to simply have kink in your life and not care which side of the slash it comes from.  There are people that just don't care as long as they are getting some kinky sex or sexual contact, but let's not call them all switches.

Thank you MissTress.  I am a female switch, and have always identified myself as such (I mean from when I started identifying as ANYTHING) and I really think that switches get the short end of the stick.

So I guy feels that he wants to be submissive. . . yet sociatial conditioning has told him that he must be Dom-like. . . so he chooses switch. . . seems logical to me. . . he has just not found his comfort zone.

HA! Silly me. I just reread this thread and realized the OP said "male" switches. Oh well.

Thanks MissTress for that very good clarification of two very different kinds of switches. I just switched to switch from sub a couple of months ago and have already encountered the kind of misperception you addressed. One very nice Mistress I emailed (she was local and had a pic I thought was cool) did not say it in a judgemental way, but she did inform me of the general attitude toward switches, AND at my first play party the friend I was with (another switch) overheard some discussion about watching out for those "do-me switches".

So it seems to me that it's the "do-me" mentality or the opportunism that is the problem, not necessarily the switchiness. Do you think it's just that there are a greater number of do-me switches than do-me Dom or subs? Or perhaps it's just that do-me switches just annoy twice as many people?

Well some one needs to speak up in our defence. Though I know only me so I only speak for me. I understand all of your comments and do agree with you A/all. I do appreciate MissTess for Her insight full and well educated response.  I am reletively new to the lifestyle, by that I mean I haven't had the opportunity to sub to a truly Dom woman, nor Dom a true sub.  I have only found the people you have spoken about. Those that want a kink in their sexual life, regardless if it is  to be tied up or to tie someone up.  It has frustrated me because I personally have more to offer and crave more then this.
So I identify myself as SWITCH to allow my self to be exposed to both sides of the spectrum, in the hopes to find that spark in me that'll pull me off the fence into the yard.
Thank you for this opprtunity.
ciao.

I think people think being a switch is being opportunistic when they think they can get some.

It's always interesting to use the line "I'm a bisexual polyamorous slut and I STILL am not interested in being with you."
