Its nice to know that the White House can be as tough on domestic policy as it is on foreign policy. So if conservatives are voting for racists, doesn't that mean they are voting in favor of racism and therefore, are racist as well? "The people who have these offensive views [towards Muslims] are part of Mr. Trump's base. Mr. Trump would be the first to tell you he has the biggest base [of conservative supporters] of any republican these days". Even now, all the conservative propaganda/media machines are trying to spin this stuff 24/7. To LIE to the American public that this can not be true. Even conservatives themselves will stand up and say this is not true. Who the fuck are these idiots trying to fool? Since 'conservative ideology' = 'being a racist, homophobic, ignorant asshole' these days.

Last I checked, a GOP candidate stated Muslims have to renounce their faith to be a US President; even though the US Constitution (which you supposedly state you follow) states they do not. Where was your calls for Mr. Carson to be thrown out of the running for the GOP ticket? I even stated in the OP: "Even conservatives themselves will stand up and say this is not true." Seems you proved me correct. Only took one post. That has to be a record on this forum.....

Mr. Trump, to whom the White House was bashing, did nothing when a racist asshole stated something dumb about Muslims. Its highly likely given he was at a Trump rally, that his view of a Muslim is non-white. THEREFORE, it would be racist. Assuming all people of any one pigment skin color must support one religion or philosophical viewpoint, is one of a few definitions of racism. I can recognize there are people of every skin color whom could be christian just as they could be of any religion (or none at all). Conservatives have a VERY BAD reputation when it comes to fighting against racism in America.

Does the fact that you refuse the racists of LaRasa and BLM make you a racist. Is it true that you choose shoes, not by color, but by taste? The laft must be in dire straights since all you guys seem to have this week are false claims of racism without a shread pf evidence.

I thought countries like Turkey for example, all their Muslims look pretty white to me. Maybe that is not considered white.

Malcom X changed his whole outlook when he made the pilgrimage. When he looked around in Mecca he saw that there were black Muslims, brown Muslims, "yellow" Muslims, and blond blue eyed white Muslims around him. He said that at that point he realized that Islam should have noting to do with race. So called Islamaphobia, aimed at those who oppose radical Islam, is also called racism because in this country racism if it sticks at all is the most devestating label you can put on some one.

what perpetually boggles my mind is how comrade bird brain continually posts things that bear so little resemblance to reality. we have called him "delusional" before---evidence continues to mount. if there is a person on these boards WHO (not whom bird brain) I wish would go the heck away, its him. he offers nothing in terms of substantive material, or critical thought and instead seems to take perverse delight in juvenile accusations and semi-coherent ramblings that, as bama has pointed out numerous times, cast everyone who disagrees with his positions, as evil or uneducated. its one thing to be controversial or thoughtfully provocative, its entirely another thing, and not acceptable either, to be purposely ignorant, and with mean spirit---inflammatory.

The racists crept out and havent shut up since Obama came on the scene, and agitating it forever. Birthers, muslim, kenyan, the hate is palpable and is getting stronger with trump. Mexicans, syrians, muslims, refugees, asians, immigrants, legal or not.... Nobody has made anything about trumps supporters beating up protestors, or the violence between Rubios aides and Rands aides. Nobody mentions hindus getting beaten up because ignorant pigs think they are muslims. But black lives matter became "terrorists" after one cop got killed in an ambushed. Roof has been forgotton,

Personally I think that Obama is the biggest racist in the nation. Not all conservatives are racists. Not all liberals aren't. Not all anything is something. And I t hink that the more the pot is stirred the worse it gets. Just one man's opinion.

There are many on the Right of politics who aren't racist and loathe racism. But for others on the right, racism presents a bit of a dilemma. This latter group consists of racists or those who for various reasons tolerate racism. The relationship of these right wingers with racism is more complex. Unable to openly assert racist politics any more, these people resort to a number of strategies to disguise and promote their hate. These strategies are often seen influencing posts on these boards. Among them: They reject the assertion that race is a major issue, insisting that the problem disappeared with legislation outlawing racial discrimination and other openly racist practices; They focus on claims of what they like to term 'reverse racism', or attack programs designed to turn around some of the worst effects of racism^ ; They code their racism in 'respectable' veneers eg birthers, anti-immigration and the like - dog whistle politics; and They claim that racial issues are deliberately created by the Left for reasons of political expediency. A dilemma that confronts the Right is that a sizeable section of their support base is racist. They can't afford to alienate these voters, nor can they be seen to openly support their racist speech and actions. They resolve the problem by insisting that hate speech is free speech protected by the Constitution. Unable to defend the content of hate speech from their supporters, they instead defend their right to air their hate speech and disguise it as an issue of 'freedom'. I sympathise with the many genuine non-racists on the Right who must be thoroughly embarrassed by some of the things the racists on the Right say and do. While some on the Right are consistent in their open opposition to the racists in their ranks, most tend to stay quiet and apparently hope that the problem will disappear. Sorry but this is never going to happen. Sooner or later they are going to have to confront the racists in their ranks, and dispatch the Right's long association with racist politics into the dustbin of history. The sooner the genuine non-racists on the Right stand up and be counted on this issue, the better. They have nothing to lose - where else are their racist supporters going to go? - and everything to gain. More importantly it is the right thing to do. ^ I am not directing these remarks at non-racist Libertarians who for ideological reasons oppose AA programs and the like.
