Hi there! I had a quick question for main profile photos. I know it's kind of a newbie question (I'm...a noob), but what kind of photos do mistresses prefer to see when they look at a profile? Keep in mind when I'm looking for a mistress personally, I'm looking to build and talk about a serious relationship, not a one time session or to get my rocks off.

I'm aware of not using dick pics, especially without being asked for one, but in regards to a general photo, are mistresses looking for someone in fetish gear? A head-shot? Something that shows off their body type? A good mix in their photo gallery?

I'm aware everyone has a different preference, but I was just curious what the general consensus is.

I think most people (not necessarily just mistresses) are looking for pics showing you, just normally what you look like day to day, maybe a nice one of you dressed up. I also know a lot of folks respond well to pictures of you doing a vanilla hobby. But then, everyone is different, so I always say try a few out to figure out what pic casts the biggest net.

I prefer a vanilla headshot, or a pic of you doing a vanilla hobby as the main one. But of course many people do not want to have their faces on a public site, so I understand if they're blacked out or whatever, but I would recommend having a good photo ready to send out with a first message or on request.

If you do have kinky pictures, you could include them in your gallery, not as a main photo. Personally, I really like nice glutes. And traps and delts. Mmmmm. I will admit to having several profiles saved that have pics in their galleries of nice, nekkid bods and rosy, freshly spanked backsides for browsing whenever I need a pick-me-up. But I don't prefer them as main photos.

YMMV, and all that.

I have one favorite member who I contacted simply because in his photo he looked like he was sitting right across from Me as though we were just hanging out having a conversation between friends. It was a completely vanilla shot, not even really posed. I think one of his friends must have photographed him candidly, at least that's how it appeared.

I also like pics of people enjoying their hobbies, and if they are building/fixing something that ALWAYS gets My interest.

But mind you, I'm not looking for a date on these sites, just friends with similar interests.

What I respond to favorably the most is a nice, friendly smile. Also, twinkling eyes, if you can show them.
If not, then a partial facial profile or a half-shaded silhouette can be intriguing. You could put on a pair of shades and tilt a hat. (If you have a lovely mane of hair or a full head of hair, though, don't hide that. Save your baseball cap for when you're out with the guys!!!)

Casual is always better, a non-professionally posed recent pic, not one that's over 3 years old, even if it's from a camera phone (not so much the holding up to the bathroom mirror shot). Don't have an untidy background.
Mostly it's the maleDoms who do this, but displaying pics of other women is a big no-no. This would include the cropped-off shoulder of your ex-wife or your last girlfriend.

It should go without saying that cartoon-like FemDom pics can be a major turn-off, or anything that graphically depicts your fetish of choice. I don't care if it represents your reason for existing -- Find a more productive purpose in your life than your BDSM fixations.

Some women don't like shirtless photos. Those don't bother me, but it's probably best to put that in your photo gallery. If your torso is not one of your better features, then please refrain from strutting stuff you DON'T have.

I personally don't want to see cockshots (NO COCKCAGES either!), bare-ass butts, and NEVER NEVER NEVER show a gaping ass! [:'(]
Leave that kind of stuff to the imagination. Wait until your nudity is requested of you, in other words. Showing some romantic shyness and a dose of modesty is far more attractive in a man than letting it all hang out for Internet strangers to see.

A hand holding a flower or glass of wine. Headless figure with butler attire. And also yes, the vanilla shots in a restaurant sitting across from another person looks nice if they are selfies and not taken by your date/SO at that time.

I think that being respectful of the reader is always in order. Women look at the inner man much more than men looking at the inner woman. Men focus on the carnal, outer appearance. There is so much more to a woman...
