As someone who's been around here for a few days and who doesn't drink coffee in real life, I think the coffee analogy is very apropos.

People with whom I socialize, in real life seem to be fairly heavy coffee "addicts" ... well ... certainly "aficionados", anyway. As a result, I've been 'forced" to spend my fair share of time in coffee shops (although I avoid Starbucks like the plague), if I wish to socialize.

Going with that analogy, I wonder where so many of the posters who seem to not want coffee forced upon them feel about a particular flavor of "coffee" that permeates this particular little "coffee shop". The "Home-Brewed-Humiliation-and-Degradation" flavor?

I can't be sure because for some, I can only see what goes by on the scroll (I refuse to sit at their table in this particular coffee shop), but it looks to me like some of the staunchest purveyors of the home brew are trying to say that forcing coffee on people is wrong.

If the coffee is rancid or lumpy or mouldy, or even coke, a tea or orange juice would you complain? or would you just suck it down?

I've seen this one and have really enjoyed it, spreading it around quite a bit.

It's lovely to be reminded.

One of my FAVORITE things is consent. I like to get consent before I begin and over and over as I play. I like them to beg. I threaten to stop if they don't thank me and beg for more. I simply pause, and ask, "Oooh. That made you shiver. How does that feel? Do you want more?"

Consent is a heady drug, to me.

The best I can suggest is to skip being hung up on the three mentions of folks being unconscious.

Fully understood.
The consent issue is the thing, with the tea being the vehicle for the message.
The three times is, apparently, simply because some people don't get it, even when it's said, so, I guess, someone who isn't gonna get it the first or second time, apparently gets it the third time.
Goes against logic, but the key point is that it's saying the opposite.

By repeating it three times, the video clip (which is excellent otherwise) is merely saying that (some) people don't get the outrageously obvious fact that an unconscious person can't possibly grant consent under any circumstances.

What amazes me is that it even has to be said once.

I guess you folks deal with a different caliber of people than I do ...

I'm not hung up on it, I'm utterly appalled that it has to be mentioned, even once, since it has to be astoundingly obvious to any logical and intelligent human being that an unconscious person can't possibly grant consent under any conceivable circumstances whatsoever.

I apologize for the duplicates.
What's happening (rather consistently) is that Collarspace complains when I post to two different threads within a period of time that is still longer than it takes to read the unread posts of the second thread and to compose an answer.

It actually allows the post - but there is no indication that it allowed the post. In fact, all you see is a rather blank result simply stating:
quote:

You can't post two consecutive messages within such a short amount of time.
go back? : : close window?

I generally just muse that Collarspace thinks we take longer than we do to assimilate the information and compose a coherent response (maybe they assume we're all single-finger typists?), and I wait a minute or two and post again.

The problem is that, sometimes, despite the indication otherwise, Collarspace has actually posted the results it said that it didn't post.

So I end up composing a repeat response, which, is what happened in this case.
Sorry for that disruption.

I could be incorrect but I think that 'can't post two consecutive messages...' thing was supposed to be that folks and/or spam bots couldn't flood the forums. I want to say it's a sixty second timer. I could be mistaken.

Yes, it really does kind of suck that such an emphasis needs to be stated three times. At the same time, it's not exactly the strong suit. Somebody with better google-fu than me can look up the stats of us even getting this written into law. It hasn't been around all that long, so we're still getting people accustomed to the idea.

heheheh Yes I have that marked myself.. ALtho the one I have my eye on I cant find the link for is a heavy rubber one with all the ties s buckles. Ill see if I can find the link.
Not realistic right now, but a wish list top item.

Yeah want one of those as well. This one is intended for 8+ hours of unattended bondage, so rubber is a bad idea cause of the overheating issues.

Most of my fantasies are at their core a bad idea.

The cartoon was a nice visual of how ludicrous the concept of forcing it is. Thanks for the link.
